looks good. Ennis is always a Good Thing. However the idea sounds a little stale - in the link he mentions Watchmen, which goes back a bit

it was very bitsy and piecy. 'Pray for War' is a good one, as is Cinnebar (but like Dudley, I already own it)

this EE violates the First Law of reprints, ie it reprints things I've already read. Bah.
A complete Armored Gideon would be brilliant

Cover
Good action cover, not genius but very good

Judge Dread: Heist
The art is boring and doesn't suit Dredd. The story looks interesting

Future Shocks: Earthsong
pretty mundane by FS standards, not much of a twist

the 86ers: Touchdown
This will run and run! Terrific stuff. I get the feeling I'll get tired of the floating robot-thingy's banter pretty quickly, but otherwise great stuff, brilliant art.

Bec & Kawl: Freakshow
Not funny, never has been for me.

ABC Warriors: The Shadow Warriors: Book Three
I'm an incurable ABC warriors addict, so I liked this. I found it a little confusing though, is that just me? The bad guys are wonderfully batty.

Koburn and Mean Machine would be great.

UKDane's suggestion is an interesting one, but there's a risk that the two of them would engage in a taciturnity contest which would result in a comic in which nothing happens and nothing is said.
Koburn would win because he's got that lady judge to help him, while the MM has only got an army of South American fanatics

could be good.  There's a lot of mileage in the story.

You're probably all recommended out, but here are some I like.

GTO (Great Teacher Onizuki) is the tale of a foul-mouthed violent loser who becomes a high school teacher in order to meet hot chicks. Like all anti-heroes he becomes sympathetic pretty quickly. The first three books are very funny

Ranma 1/2 by Rumiko Takahashi is loopy martial arts oriented funhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:RanmaBoth.jpg">

Button Man is a character who shouldn't go on too long. He's genius but would become tired an implausible very quickly. I pray he doesn't come back.
On the other hand, I think Lobster Random and Lenny Zero would both be okay with other writers, much as I like the original writers work.

General / Re: new 2000ad annuals!?

Annuals would be fun. They're cute and old-fashioned. The last Dr Who annual was too cool to call itself that but was great fun. But, as others have said here, we already get the Prog2006 etc, which is a big treat. I wouldn't mind annuals if Tharg could get around to it but I understand why he probably won't.
