Never mind whatever happened to. Who were Agent Rat
Abelard Snazz
Maze Dumoir
Ulysses Sweet
Joe Black?

Oh and bring back Friday and Venus! I'm with that bloke who wrote the letter on the subject the other week (who must be an alternative continuity version of me)

I had to use standard deviation the other day - hardcore!

Shouldn't that be 'statscore'?

I had so many good times getting my degree. Highlights included the philosophy tute we had in the pub, ummm, a lot of times in the pub, my band performing (briefly)....(trails off)
And I'm always grateful to the degree for putting me on to Byron's Don Juan, Wittgenstein and James Joyce. You don't need a degree to enjoy them but I probably wouldnt' have found them otherwise

certainly a degree isn't the guarantee of a reasonable income it used to be. Depends what you do with it.
Mine (English Language and Lit, Philosophy) took forever but was definitely worth doing.

Is Sheffield really a treasure trove of beautiful women and fragrant sofas? I thought Joe Cocker came from there (not that that rules out the treasure trove bit being true)

I don't think Tharg's going to make a habit of it. The cross over thing probably won't happen. Batman, Spiderman and the rest have about a million characters with whom to make crossover comics. If Dredd does a cross-over with Rogue Trooper, you still only have to buy one comic.
I dropped in on 'Comics R Us' yesterday and contemplated the vast sums you'd have to have in order to be a Batman completetist

I almost misseed it myself.
I'm wanting to make a list of teaching related terms (constructivism, Zone of Proximal Development and so on)and organise them alphabetically, so I can write them down as I go through my text book and look them up alhpabetically later. Like the A-Z of Judge Dredd but much less fun to read.
  politely suggest away!

Help! / databases kind of thing

Hi there techonologicaly ept people,

I'm taking all these notes and I'd like to organise them alphabetically. Is there a cooler way to do that than just typing the lot up and moving them around in the document? Can I do that with Microsoft Office?

yours embarassed at his low computing skills

'chair' makes sense to me; since the gender of the person isn't relevant to the job, why specify it?
I took my son's nursery teacher to task last year. She'd taught the kids that the rhyme "easy peasy Japanesey lemon squeazy" etc wasn't good to say because Japanesey might offend Japanese people. I explained to her that, unlike the 'n-word' in eeny, meeny, miney mo, 'Japanesey' has no meaning as a racial epithet, it's just a nonsense rhyme and that I didn't want my son worrying about his ethnic background when he didn't have to.
It was very difficult to do, as I respected the teacher and I liked her efforts in general.

"step into a world where your family is (significant pause) your enemy"

I can see it from the family's point of view

Do all emo poets have to put hoods on during the reading?

I didn't really hate the Book of Invasions. I just think the character is a bit played out and the art too murky. It has its moments.
I don't think there's been any Slaine stories that I didn't like at all
