'm not too fussed if I never find out what happens. The ones I've been reading got a bit meandering lately (the one with the yakuza was just silly)

Melbourne has had snow once in the last 100 years - none today I'm afraid.
  My family are over in Japan now - they had a little snow last week

  by the way, Robot Monster, which I've seen many times, is unintenionally brilliant.  You're right about what the monster is. It includes such classic dialogue as:

"To dream! To laugh! To love! Why are these things not in The Plan?"*

"I must kill the girl, yet (pause) I cannot. Must. Cannot. Where do they meet on the graph?"*

* well something like that. It's a while since I've seen it.
