I too have always wondered what 'kroom skree' meant. Now I will take that knowledge to my grave.

thanks

angamax gets the tops for genius

the Zentih comes a close second for being well drawn and nice (besides, I'm a dad, so owe it a vote)

third is the ABC's 'plum pun'

but there's so much good stuff here, it's almost impossible to choose

Jock Cheese/aka Tokin Blackman aka James Paull, TISM guitarist and writer of two of their best songs (Greg! The Stop Sign! and He'll Never be an Old Man River) has died unseasonably early at 50.  Which is a damn shame

here's the link to the articlehttp://www.livenews.com.au/articles/2008/04/29/TISM_guitarist_dies_of_cancer, and here, more importantly, is a link to one of his songs

check out Greg the Stop Sign too

so what if comics has put food on Mr Rennie's table for years? He's still entitled to get fed up with writing them.  The Australian Defence Department put food on my table for years and I was jack of it before I left

I don't know what Gordon was misquoted as saying, but it's good he's still around.

Rumour Control makes me uneasy though.  That baldish guy in Alien 3 kept saying 'rumour control' right up to the point where an alien popped out of the ceiling and ate him

I don't care wether Rennie leaves things up in the air or not - that's his prerogative and the things can be finished off by others if there's a real demand. But I'll miss him. He wrote some real crackers (Missionary Man, Witch World, a lot of good Dredd stories to name a few) and, in my memory, was always fun here

Hush, for reasons already mentioned. To be fair, 2000ad had done worse, but never all at the same time. There have been stories worse than Hush, but they've always shared the comic with something better

no idea huff but I wouldn't judge the film by its lego set.  In the preview we saw tonight, Cate Blanchett seemed sympathetic in a stern sov sort of way

hi Europeans!

Never mind the Wii, when are they going to develop 2000AD games for the Nintendo DS, so my son can play them without me having to buy another machine?

yours self-centredly,
