the first 10/15 mins are just right.

I agree. A 'director's cut' version would finish after 15 minutes.
There's no reason why another one couldn't be okay.

Voldemort: Harry's dying! I've won! Wait a minute, everything's going black....aieee!

When Harry awoke, he was a small baby with a lightning mark on his head.  To see what happened next, queue up outside a bookshop in a witches hat and purchase "(very) young Harry Potter, the reincarnated prequels"

I look at the top five threads, then at any others that look particularly interesting

like Jen, I have embraced my nerdosity. I'm too old to worry about not being cool.
However, I've felt slightly embarrassed at comics shops, where braying nerdy customers spoil a good browse with loud unfunny comicsy jokes. And at the Japan Festival, which abounds with Manga fans who all like they need to get out more

Max,

You've got mail, c/o this site.  I can be reached similarly.

As for Galactic Groats, now that The Secret has revealed that I can have them just by visualising them, I'm not fussed.

Hey Max,

Yes it was.

I thought of this thread, because I'm reading some way old progs. Tharg gives all the kiddies who write in three pounds or five poinds for the best letter.

Judge Fire does indeed look like a much better character that's been left in front of a heater for too long. Despite that, Roy and I love playing games with our heroclix (mind you we simplify it a bit - turns into a very quick deathmatch).
I miss the little Dredd badges - my old one turned up during a trip back to Japan and broke while I was wearing it on the train.

welcome aboard El Sloano. I'm not familiar with your work, having only heard about it. The if-stan-lee-and-jack-kirby-were-Russian thing sounds interesting.

I'm the progenitor of a young kid.  He liked the Christmas special, but wasn't noticeably impressed with Ms Tate, although he did say "Why did you say 'urgh' Dad?" during a close-up scene

I'm with you there 54 Jones.  I remember a feeling of great disapointment when Ms Tamm regenerated into her annoying successor.
Still, better than regenerating into Bonnie Langford or Catherine Tate
