There's a Dredd vs Death game...available on Steam (if you can't find it in the shops).  It's a little old, but fun.

Hang your collective heads in shame!

You're right you know...I did use that when defending Timson's 2nd distinct art style when some prat accused him of having little talent...I'd forgotten about that.

I'm another reader confused with the Chav-Likeness issues.  Shame really as it takes away from the story a bit. Spots, Scars, ginger hair, goatee, etc.  Would all have helped.  I'll go back through and add them on with biro maybe.

Quote from: "James S"This might be useful .. its certainly true for Merddyn. In Welsh (and Cornish mostly as well) ..

C - pronounced as a K, as in English 'kick'
CH - pronounced as in the Scottish 'loch' and the composer Bach.
DD - pronounced TH, as in English 'breathe'
G - pronounced as a hard G, as in English 'get'
LL - roughly pronounced THL
F - pronounced as a V, as in English 'of'
FF - pronounced as an F, as in English 'off'
W - pronounced as an OO, as in English 'swoon'
Y - In all but the last syllable of a word it's pronounced as a U - as in English 'fun'.
When it is in the last syllable of a word it is pronounced as an i - as in English 'is'.
In single syllable words, the Y could be either.

Also, U - In welsh is 'e' normally - so Ynysddu (a local village) would be UN-US-DEE  (not for some reason UN-US-THEE).  AND 'i' is often 'e' too...it is called 'e'-dot to help distinguish it.

The Pwca (pronounces Pooka as the 'w' is pronounced 'oo' in Welsh) is a mythical (maybe?) Welsh folklore creature.  The Trewyn is a local area I used to go camping as a kid (very near to where I grew up).  The Pwca Treywn story was told around the campfire and is nothing like the Slaine story (the 'real' story involved a selfish milkmaid!) - I just borrowed the name as I always liked it.

The general idea was to do with the noises we heard when camping in the valley...so...who knows!

Massively talented artist.  Did you know that one of my favourite all time pages from THE BLOOD OF SATANUS appeared years and years ago on 'bid-up-tv'.  I believe this was the only time they tried to sell art on there and unfortunately my funds would not let me buy it at the time...or it would have been mine!!!

(Now would you all mind wearing board name tags so I know who's who?)

If you've got the time to find it there's a thread with pictures of various boarders...if you can find it...I failed!

Quote from: "Mikey"Dreddverse stories are like other strips in the prog; some work for me and some don't. Taking recent examples, Low Life fits right in to the City IMO and Marauder was an entertaining yarn but didn't feel like MC1 to me. Ditto Insurrection in the Meg - it's definately been reworked from a Blood Angels story or something from WH40K, but how can you not love some bang bang shooty shooty?

I agree with your take Mikey, Low Life fitted in well (this time round for at least but I haven't always felt it worked), Marauder didn't have the feel of a Meg story though.  Insurrection did have the feel for me of all the other 'Judges in Space' stories (other than the Dredd specific ones which have a 'Dreddy' feel about them) and this isn't a bad thing but it is very different to Mega City one Judge story.

I'd say the logo (while really good) is going to aim at the 3-6 age group, and would tend to go for the magnets (always a favourite with my boy) and the water bottle.  Lunch boxes are good as well - I'd buy one now as I need one for mini-wod.
