General / Re: Is Ramone Coloured?

I came across it from a friend who has to deal with the public in the NHS, this was part of their training with regards to dealing with people from different nationalities, backgrounds, etc.

I quite like the sound of it now, but initially it just made me laugh.

It's not mixed-race these day's...it's Dual-Heritage (or something along those lines)

I missed the last episode as a kid, thanks to the net eventually got to see it.

Cities of Gold was excellent as well (also had a soft spot of Dogtanian (was that the right name)).  I guess it was due to the fact that they all had an arc to them and FINISHED...unlike most other cartoons.

The neck on my shirt doesn't suit me, so I have a Blitzspear shirt in Large which I'm going to being getting shot of.  Only tried it on for 1/2 hour or so, so will probably put it up as a prize on one of the arty things or summat like that.

I guess it would cost extra doing the two set-ups and print runs, etc.  A nice 'clean' cover could look good though.  Might be an incentive to draw in some new subcribers as well.

Suggestions / Special Covers for Subscribers

I used to subscribe to SFX and if you did you got the cover without the extra blurb that is splattered on the newsagent copies...which looked great on some of their covers.

What would people think of having something similar on the Prog and the Meg for subcribers only?  Would you miss the Tag-line too much?

Cheaper if you buy in US$, but still Wakes is better.  The 'shield' looks wonky to me.

Due due a stomach complaint and a big Guinness session during college, I once farted for over a minute...and could play a tune with it by the time I'd finished.  True story, should probably be on the Mutant thread though...

Used to rush home to watch Benny Hill...it was great.  Caught one a while back when working abroad, still had a few funny moments that worked, but less of them due to the age of the show and the age of me.

When I was born the nurse said to my mother 'look he's got an extra thingy'...she meant skin-tag near my ear (now removed due to constact toy-fighting with mini-wod making it a bit sore), but for a little while my mum thought she'd birthed a mutie.

Well, I'm of the same basic opinion and find it hard to understand their point of view.  If you pushed it to the 'extreme' and advocated a blind family having a blind child (by choice) it would appear to make no sense.

Didn't this family also want to have the embryo screened for a family trait for other illnesses such as heart disease and diabetics so that the child could avoid having a disposition to these.  I can understand that, makes sense, but it is a bit of having your cake and eating it to be honest to not then try and reduce the chances of your child having a hearing defect if you can.

It appears to me like they don't see being deaf as a disability and that on this ground alone they can justify their position.
