I fly quite a bit and I'm kind of used to queues and most people are great, but on one flight an old couple, German to boot, were just the most incredible 'pusher-ins' I've ever, ever seen...so blatant and so didn't give a shit, almost magical to watch as it was so far from any sort of behaviour that I could imagine myself doing.

Not got any tickets for parking in the wrong bays as I'm kind of anal about it (even stopped using the kiddies ones as mini-wod is big enough now so we don't have to have a full expedition kit with us when we go out.  Did hear Tammy Grey-Thompson once recalling about someone giving her lip about using the kiddy spaces because she was disabled, even though she had her kids with her...some people miss the point entirely.

Didn't Sony do something a while back with copy protection that if you played a certain CD on your PC and had downloaded (even legitimate) copies of it on to the HD it would wipe it out and do some other nasty stuff too...something like that anyway.

Man, it will be ironic when in 100 years time the 'Spurrier's Church of Bec and Kawl - come to me you all' is the scene of a similar scene.

If it wasn't for the fact that I lived nearly all my young years in the Valleys away from civilisation, it is now clear to me that I would have had to resort to a criminal lifestyle to have afforded the amount of 2000ad stuff that was around...ignorance really was bliss.

The likes of Sky+ (and I would guess TIVO) makes adverts a thing of the past, just set it up to tape and then start watching it 10 minutes after it started and fast forward through the ad breaks...voila 10 mins of your life back in your hands.

Digital radio...pah...internet lined radios...that's the way to go (apparently).

Does anyone know (exactly) why it is that the body can effect the reception of a radio (for the better) when it is in close contact, but not actually in contact with the radio?  For example, I have a small FM radio next to me that is tuned in to some crappy station with not so good reception, but if my hand goes within 3/4" (19 mm) or so, the reception is perfect (music is still crappy though).

I'm clearly aiding the aerial somehow, but how?  Is it the body's 'magnetic field' or some such thing that has this effect?
