Hello you lovely people!
On one of the other boards I use, someone has asked this question, but i don't know the answer. So, can any of you help?
What's this book:

"I read this sometime in 1990 to 1993 so its been quite a while. Its a scifi book about a man that goes to colonize another planet. Once they get there they land on the coastline and clear some trees to make room for the colony. Accept after 3-4 days the tree's that are still standing hatch into huge monsters and thrash everything in site. I can't be 100% sure but I think the name of the book was the name of the starship/colonyship."
