Much as it disgusts me to say it... I've been on holiday up around the Loch Lomond area a few times, and I have to say, it is some of the most amazind scenery I've ever seen in my life. And this is from someone who has walked down the Grand Canyon.

You should read a few Iain Banks books, like Whit, then drive around the Sterling/Blair Drummond area pointing out the locations he has used and annoying your wife. That's great fun.

Saw it last night, and it rocked!
As for cool quotes.
Well, Bill has one great one, but I can't use it on a family board.

Alright. I just joined up.
I'm not promising to be able to read every book mind, but I'll do what I can!

That is, I've joined if I'm allowed.

AH well, that's what I get for thinking they got Skaro back somehow cos it was mentioned at the start of the McGann Who.

By grud, you're right! I'm sure someone a lot sadder than me knows the reason...

Just to answer a couple of these points:

a) they haven't lost their home planet (and then their new one)

Err, yes they have. In Remembrance of the Daleks.

(d) they have perfected the process of humanoid assimilation;

Well, they couldn't fool Bernard Cribbins with their mind machines, could they..?

I have it on good authority when asked to sketch the Simpsons,he 'couldn't remember them all' so drew Spiderman instead.

Haha!! My god! I can confirm that, as I was there when this happened. And he didn't finish the sketch...

I bought The Talons of Weng-Chiang thanks to a recommendation on this board and can confirm it's an absolute chuffing scream.

I was given a copy of this by the legendary Karne. It's bloody great!

'Let the Talons of Weng Chiang shread your fleeeeeeessshhhh!!'
