I'm gonna' have to stick up for that one. There have been dredds over the years that have gone for emotion rather than blood and guts ( Far more than usual in recent years) and IMO is one of the best. '

It is not the emotional Dredd stories I have a problem with, in fact, the episode where McGruder dies is one of my all time favorite comics ever, it is so fucking good.
I just think the story in question here was rubbish. A heavily signposted cliche.

What about the story by fan favorite Ennis, I think was called KillKraze, which was a poor rip-off of the Westworld movie, it was a pile of dung.

I remember an interview with Clive Barker, after the movie Nighbreed was released. Anybody who has read the book upon which it is base, Cabal, will know what a complete waste that movie was.
But, as you point out, Karne, it's the guys in the suits who decide what movie goes out.
Barker tells of a conversation he was having with David Cronenberg about the situation.
'David, they've fucked up my movie.'
Cronenberg told him, 'So what, they do it to me every time.'

Christ, that would be cool... if only.
