Couldn't you get a copy from the Mighty One?
Or where you sent in to move the copies to the front of the shelf?

But you are all right, FP is like Toys'R'Us now.

'Is that an Archaeopterix?'

I think it might be a Demon Chicken.

Hi there, and welcome aboard.

Please excuse the spelling on these posts (yes Devon'd Daddy, I'm looking at you), apart from that, this is a great place.

I'd echo what the Capt, just said, I just re-read the first Halo Jones book a couple of days ago, and it is shit hot.
Also, some of the old Dredd mega epics, The Apocolypse War is perfect.

Do not be afraid to ask anything here. As I found out myself when I started here, you've got folks posting pictures etc, and it looks fancy, but just ask and they'll tell you how!

Have fun!!

None of this is funny, because it is probably true.

Bill Savage will, not doubt, end up being one of the reincarnations of Slaine.
Or maybe he'll get lost in the time tunnels or something. That would be good, eh?

But try explaining to my wife how ?30/40 is not a lot to be paying for art. Because to her, it's just a page from a comic...

I tried last night for the first time...

A page of Arthur Ranson artwork, from Anderson was on e-bay, but I was out-bid.

Did anybody here get it?
If so, well done... you bastard.

As for price, I'd be comfortable with maybe ?100, but these american pages are going for ?15- ?20, which is way cheap, I think.

My thinking was also that they were crap. There are pictures of most of them up, but what the hell do I know?

A lot of it is stuff you wouldn't buy, but the odd page is interesting, x-men, Thor or something like that.

I have never bought any artwork, you see, and was just wondering if this was a good place to start.

If I may ask a question to you collectors?

I've been thinking about buying some art recently. Looking on e-bay, they have, sometimes, a load of stuff from US comics at low low prices.
What is the story with this art, great bargin or pile of shit? And why?

No, you're right, I'm a Who fan, and I will freely admit that a lot of those old pertwee stories were shite.
It certainly help the effects, too, not being able to see them. I'm thinking of Invasion of the Dionsaurs, here.
