"Well today I had the pleasure of sitting and drawing with Ramon Sola...
He drew HookJaw.
I drew other stuff."

Oi, you can't just drop bombshells like that and leave without explanations!  We want times, dates, details!

I'd rather have it like the art, than look more like an eagle.

Also, I'd be interested if I knew the badge would look as good as the design does.

Any chance you could tell me what it should have?

I would have thought the wing feathers should be longer.

I'm not sure seven feathers is the right bodge.

"Sadly, it wasn't me. I do own a Rogue Trooper t-shirt, but got mine after taking out an annual subscription and, while I admit I may be slightly more ... er ... portly than I was a few years ago, there's not enough takeaway pizza in all of Christendom to help me fit into it ..."

Mike, I once accidnetally swallowed a magic pie several years back and am that portly.  Could I please have the T-Shirt?  I'll give ye something for it!

Cheers :)

Patrick Moore, he rocks!  The Sky at Night is the longest running TV show, and Patrick is someone with real enthusiasm for his chosen field.  Always up for a laugh at his own expense, he's appeared in programs as diverse as The Goodies, Gamesmaster and Big Brother.  He truly is a bloody marvel and makes me proud to be British.  Huzzah!

Also there's about 6 or 7 books of the stuff, plus spin off.

I was initially up for reprints in the meg, but I don't begrdge buying an issue of heavy metal a year for the whole thing in one go.  I doubt we'd get them any quicker if printed in the meg.

Plus, as we know, people would moan.

I did flag up issue 4 here when it came out I think marbles, and that's probably the easiest way to do it.  If one of us sees it, let the others know.

There seems to be one a year, on avarage.

If anyone wants me to look out for issues in local shops, then let me know.

Ifr anyone sees any issues of Heavy metal with Sha (Cha?) in them, then I'll pay a couple of quid each if they are in good nick.

Cheers

Paul

Before I fell asleep the other night just randomly picked up a case file and read a random strip, lettered by Tom Frame.  It really was very good.  It added as much to Dredd feeling epic than a Ron Smith crowd scene.

"Wellll.... Tom had made his lettering into a font... i had been trying to convince him to license it"

Well, depending on what would be involved, I know it's something I would consider purchasing if it was made available.  I've often wanted what I could only describe as a 'tom frame' comic font, tall and thin.

I imagine most professionals use their own design?  Though blampot do seem to sell fonts to professionals and companies.

Regardless of whether the font is seen again, his work does of course live on.

Very sad to hear the news, just as I was very sad not to have met him at Dreddcon 3.  I've always been a big fan of his lettering and he sounded like a great chap.

That's a very nice cover!

Presumably Eric the Copyright Dodging Stomtrooper is normally better than that.  If not, George was probably just trying to give it a mercy killing with his pillow of justice.

Never read it, but that made me laugh.
