Books & Comics / Re: All Hail PVS!!

The German guy I know who read Big War really enjoyed it, and I think that was the test for me. Whether we were parodying the attitudes of those comics, or just indulging in them.

Shame we only did the one, I know some people wanted more Big War.

I'd love to do a proper kids comic (non-licensed stuff), with just fun innocent silly stuff in.

Floyd, I've had my fair share of stalking and  harassment from this board and I must point out that saying nice things about my comics only makes my day, creep! :p

Thanks Mike... I'm doing one last issue of Solar Wind to wrap it up and then it is done.  It's been a difficult comic to put out at times, but maybe if I win the euro lottery I'll have another go.

Radbacker, let me know what you want and I'll see what I can do with the postage.   Floyd's stuff took the slow boat via China, but was cheaper, so patience is a virtue if you want to save a few quid.

It's okay Peter, I've tried it in comic shops before and this sounds terribly defeatist, but it's really not worth the hassle for me or the shop in question.

Well, thanks for the kind words, chaps.  I take my payment from the whole enterpise in nice things said about it, and it is its own reward in some strange non-profitable sort of way.

And of course, I must in return hail the artists without whom, there wouldn't be a comic.

Sadly Peter, Omnivistascope 'As Seen on TV' is not available in the shops.  But you can get it from the OVS website.  The first issue was distributed in FPI shops, which was nice of them, but not very realistic.

I have been thinking of running a promotion where people get the comic for free, then rate it between 1 and 5 by sending me that much money in pounds. A zero would be a 'return to sender' :) So if you want to try it, just e-mail me your address and I'll send one out.

And I'm not sure I am more cool than that guy.

"I'd urge you all to buy them rather than waiting for PVS to have another random attack of kindness."

That's very good advice.  I'm now on medication to prevent such an attack from happening again.

Classifieds / Re: Is this worth Bidding on!........

I fully reccomend the Judge Dredd boardgame, it's a fun, competitive game, with easy to learn rules that is soaked in the spirit of the first 8 years or so of Judge Dredd.

Trust me, you haven't lived till you've arrested Judge Death for littering.

As Wake said, a tenner is reasonable in good condition and complete.  It's not worth a fortune, so don't pay a fortune.

Good game, good game!

"I quite fancy Mandroid as well- is that out yet?"

Should be!  Maybe they are waiting for Mandroid 2 - Return of the Mandroid before they issue a collection.

Really liked the Synnamon pencils that Campbell had at Bristol a couple of years back.  Lovely.
Seemed a shame to dip them in ink and colour them.

"and those are pages from, ah, Bison"

"oh, er yeah, Bison"

Thee are also the Collectable Card Game cards, or CCG's.  A pretty expensive way to buy a gamne, but at least you can play with them.

Sory to hear that Jonathan, it's an awful thing to happen to anyone.  Hope it clears soon.

According to BBC some residents of Oxford have been evacuated, but presumably that's a low lying area.

More importantly for me (sorry Tharg) I'm off to see how my brother's area is doing.

Cheers :)

"You know, on a TV show a few years ago, with hypothetical political events occurring and contestants choosing policy decisions, Rebellion boss Jason Kingsley made the decision to let prisoners in a fictitious prison drown."

If I was Tharg and his chums, I'd be worried by that.

Anyway, hello people from LITG!

Well I'd hate to have said that, and some boarder returns to the board weeks after having lost their home and all their possessions.

I was going to put a post up asking if anyone was affected, but then relaised if they were, they'd have more pressing concerns than message boards.

This is all due to shifting weather patterns and a drainage system that can't cope.  If we have permanent weather change, I can see a pretty warped future.  I'm sue Godon ennie is mumbling 'I told you so' as he sits on his throne made of Rain Dog Gaphic Novels.

Yeah I saw Oxford on the news and worried about Tharg and his droids.

Considering peoples lives have been ruined, it may seem a bit frivolous to worry about the prog, but it's obviously catastophic for businesses as well as people.

I'll be projecting positive thoughts.
