Heh, just the 2000AD ones I'm afraid, I have a use for the generic SF ones.  However if it's ever going in the bin, it's yours :)

No complaints with those wins.  Top stuff.

Thanks for the votes to the special people.  Should you have a use for this or any of the previous 2000AD pictures wot I've done, such as kindling for pet funeral pyres, drop me a line and they are yours.  I won't be embarressed by the silence, but I don't have the space to keep them.

I think they should replace the free GN with a sample of de-hydrated thrill power.

QuoteI thought you already were come the weekend PVS, Partly because you love pearls and partly because you got to say "Show a bit of spunk, Man" at dinner party's

I'd like to think as I've posted the most shite on this board, I'd get some respect, but it seems the inverse is true.

Filthy rumours the lot of it.

Film & TV / Re: Spielberg & Smith to remake Oldboy

No, hollywood do make some good movies.  Equally, Will Smith's very liekable and Spielberg has made some very good films.  I think Hollywood could certainly do a very good version of oldboy.  I thought it was the sort of thing Bruce Willis might try.  But not sure the top two will pull it off.  We shall see.

Slash fiction is porn fan fic.  There's a lot of Spock/Kirk stuff out there and the new two look even gayer than the originals :p

Hmm...  Oldboy good, Will Smith and Spielberg tosh.  Equation doesn't really add up.

Noticed this cover for Empire.  The new Star Trek seems to have been based on all that slash fiction out there.

I'd buy the Lexx to fill in the gaps from my collection.  Fantastic show (mostly).

Film & TV / Re: BBC to remake 'Survivors'

Last Train came out of a failed attempt by ITV to remake survivors.

It was very silly, but I have a soft spot for it.  That and Leslie Grantham's invaders show, as they were some of the rare SF actually on TV at the time.

Can I be Margaret Rutherford, solving closed cases while exasperating the local police?

Unfortunately I already have those on dvd.

This show was muted as being on in Autum 2008, so I wondered if it might crop up soon.

If it's as depressing at times as the original, poerhaos they think it's the wrong time to show it :p

I don't belong to one of those radical roleplaying groups that like to out people who keep collections of strangely-sided dice under a loose floorboard, but one Jason Kingsley wrote a solo Judge Dredd adventure which you can read in the Judge Dredd companion.

Hmm... a lot of comic people, but they don't count.

I have a Robert Plant one my Aunt got me as she said me and my brother were big fans (and I was).  Signed to Paul.  He also passed on a copy of his latest album (which had a nice version If I were a Carpenter on), which makes me think he's a nice chap.  Never met him though.

I got some Doctor Who and Blakes Seven people once, but I gave them away.

I have a Hawk the Slayer Book signed by Terry Marcel.

I have some books which have Michael Moorcock's signiature in.

I met Grant and Naylor at a signing, which I hugely enjoyed as it was in Brum's Andromeda book shop as there was free punch and pork scratchings.  Plus the threat of paying for any books I spilled punch on.  Seemed like down to earth guys.  I'd not long been in the big city, so it was all rather exciting to meet people who'd done something.

Met Megadeth and they were all nice (if hungover) except Dave Mustaine.  Pretty much killed what little love was left for the band as I realised what a nob the man on the back covers of the album was.  Sold them on e-bay for a token sum, but to a guy who really appreciated them, which was nice.  So I'm glad I did it!

I got genuinely quite upset when I recently put up my collection of Girlschool records which are signed by the band.  They have all gone their own ways, one of them's dead and I got the records for a few quid at the bootfair and didn't realise they were signed till I got home.  They aren't worth anything to anyone but me I imagine and I felt relieved when they didn't sell.

I have also, believe it or not, signed a few books myself.  Though I never offer and find the whole thing a bit awkward and I always warn people it may damage the value of their book.

I'm reading Jonathon Ross' new book (which is funny if you like him) and he tells of his joy at signing his first autograph realising that he really did want to be famous after all.  I had the opposite revelation, It's really not me and you realise how worthless a thing it is.  Though I appreciate mine, and the people who gave me them (on the whole!).

Oh and my really bnkers stab in the dark theory about the thirteenth tribe.
They are the cylons.  Or what took them over.  I'm sure it's very complicated.  And I'm almost surely wrong.
