"Must admit the ending of AHAB left me rather baffled, I wonder if I'd skipped a page?"

Felt a bit like that myself, i think i was ok up to the chapter (4?) that ended with a bunch dying from the virus. After that I lost it completly. Couldnt tell who was who or why anything was happening and never got back in to it. Pity cos it started well.

The rest of the prog is excellent. Dredd, Low Life and Savage make choosing a top thrill difficult. A little early to say much about T.Rex.

Also I believe Charlie is hoping to continue doing Savage, although book 2 will not be for a while due to current commitments of both writer and artist.

If you are going to say one thing but actually mean something else perhaps it is you who ought to engage your brain. Whatever you meant to say read as "hanging in a net? So what, thats not genuine torture. Muslims do worse to Muslims so what the fuck are they complaining about." Are you really surprised you got a "typical knee-jerk pseudo-liberal" reaction?

you know if you asked the average brit tabloid reader man/woman in the street those questions you would get a straight yes to every question. sure theres something nasty in there, a brutal occupying force in a land of do-as-you-please. mills on a soapbox? mills writing a "what if" story based on current public moods, recent history and politics?

actually, if i answered those questions...

do i think men or women would be raped by an occupier? yes

sex might be used to barter, sometimes reluctantly sometimes not, with an solder? yes. (couldnt think of a better word for it than "barter")

do i think we get shafted by europe? fuckin hell yes, first realised just how screwed we might get by europe trying to stop Bangerman effectivly banning motorbikes in mid 90's. MEP didnt show up to vote? theres a vote for the motion then.

asylum seekers? sure theres some people needing help because they are in genuine danger just as there are those complianing that their digs arent big or nice enough.

kids seeing perverts? was only the other day i took a paper off my 10 year niece before she got to the "den wanks off on internet" story.

the metal less able thing i guess is noddy having a job in the SS HQ. yes i reckon the halfwit would be employed over someone with brains in this situation.

that means if you are pat mills, you seem to have my vote.

how many boarders gave up reading 2k around prog 700ish or 1990something? i'd guess a significant proportion, myself included. not because i'd just bought a atari/amiga/nes/megadrive whatever, because 2k had a period of turning out utter shite i wasnt interested in reading, much less paying for. robohunter drove me to games, games didnt drag me from 2k.

computer games became good, at a time comics turned crap. games didnt make comics crap, they did it all by themselves. your fifteen years old...billys boots/new eagle or sonic the hedgehog/super mario?

an interactive game thats crap is disregarded like a story that a crap read. thing is a good  game just didnt get much competion from a good story in a comic.

talking a lot of crap

a GAME is more important than the fate of our country in Europe.

well the result of the game does effect the fate of our country in europe, or euro 2004 at least. i reckon its just that politics is more tedious than football to most people and sitting shouting at the tv is about as influencial to a game as a vote is to the result of an election.

t4e. bored shitless with politics, more interested in footie.
