It may well be one of the misprint ones, yes...I know it's regarded as having too many extra rules (shooting combat, ship to ship combat, statting up redshirts) that add nothing to the book. I do have a copy so I'd definitely play it

I thought this was one of the weaker Regened progs. Best thing in here imo was Enemy Earth. Definitely felt like an older-school concept thrill and I'd be interested how this slightly bleaker tale goes over with younger readers.
Really cool art on Dredd and Strontium Dug but not the best, storywise. With the latter I'd also be interested in how this went over with younger readers, as I would guess the SD continuity plus the idialect writing would be a barrier to them.
Didn't see anything in Scooter and Jinx at all, sadly.

Starship Traveller I think has a bad rep for being annoying. I've never played it, but I'm up for it.
I really think we should all play Deathtrap Dungeon soon if we can..

Although it's pretty pants, the early episodes especially of Harlem Heroes have some incredible work from Steve Dillon, atmospheric and violent and stunningly cool to teenage me.. Gets my vote on that basis alone.

Lovely work on the graph Funt. I tried a second runthrough at the weekend but messed up the keys, I'll do another one for comepleteness using this I think. In your face, warlock!

I've played one of the gamebooks electronically - Island of the Lizard King - and I don't remember it using numbered paragraph headers. I assume for stuff like the keys here you'd just have tagged items in your inventory that allows you to proceed: that's how I'd build it.

That's the one! I have mapped it before but didn't use it this time.
I remembered certain stuff like getting the Di Maggio enchantment but not where to go, and so basically wandered about like a lost drunkard until something killed me.

Just had a run at Warlock and the vampire killed me. I was doing ok up till that point although I burned my stamina potion early on a poison needle trap.

The art in this book is just lovely.

Anyone else do better?

Gutted I missed Marney, but (amongst other things) I picked up Masters of British Comic Art in the sale - a book I had long dithered over getting - it arrived today and by god it is lovely. It's packed with beautiful images and definitely the sort of book I need to convince people* that comic art is actual art (and therefore I'm an art collector, not a big kid)

Timehouse here too. I'll always take gentle but boring over offensive and shite.

Excellent point about the Dillon-ness of the cover - that's a Dillon Dredd face for sure and a lovely homage.

Cock joke was indeed naff, but I'm sure we can forgive the team for that. As for your comment about Full Tilt Boogie, Boots, where did that go? I figured we'd have got more of it. Oh well.

For me, Dredd wrapped up fine, if in downbeat manner. Atlantis has been little used, but surprising to see Williams trash it. (Although I suppose it could be repaired, not that you'd really want to live there now.) Diaboliks felt like tidying up at the end of a party. Pandora was breezy and gross. I'd happily see this back in the Prog. Scarlet Traces continues to be excellent, as does The Out. 5/5 again, Tharg.

The Out > Pandora Perfect > Scarlet Traces > Judge Dredd > Diaboliks

Great comments as ever IP. I didn't even register on first read really how destroying Atlantis is actually a fairly big deal.
And I hope we'll see more of Full Tilt Boogie: I know it wasn't universally popular, but it was different and had some really interesting ideas. Has it been binned off for future series?
