Off Topic / Outlook Express Question
25 January, 2007, 01:51:03 AM
If I look at the dictionaries available in OE6, only English, French, and Spanish are available.
Anyone know how/where I can add a Danish dictionary to the list?

Well, I decided to ask Jon a few questions I had about the 2000ad graphic novels. Most of them were FAQ's from this site, so I decided that asking him directly would be the best way to get a reply "for the board".
I also asked for permission to post the replies here, so if you have anything to add Jon, please feel free :-)

1) What are the plans for the Case Files when they reach the colour strips? Art "Kenny Who" sized Case Files feasable?

1 - At the moment, plans have not be set in concrete. Can't comment on this quite yet

2) Has the "gutter-issue" been officialy addressed for future collection, I understand the Stronty book has added white space?

2 - Yup, where lettering would be obscured we have placed a gutter

3) Is the last Robo-hunter collection on the horizon?

3 - Not at present

4) Is a trade collection of Armoured Giddeon likely?

4 - No plans at the moment

5) Is "The Dead" likely to be collected in EE form soon?

5 - You're best off asking Matt Smith that. I don't do the EE editions.

Books & Comics / Abaddon Books

What are you reading, or have you read?

I was wondering if, when the Black Flame license runs out, would it be likely that the 2000ad novels back a subline to the abaddon imprint, it would seem to make sense, brining the license in-house again.

Help! / HD-DVD vs Blu-Ray
02 January, 2007, 04:43:11 PM
Who will win?

When are they due for release?

What will be the RRP of disks?

How will they effect the gaming industry?

Is it worth waiting, or should I get a DVD recorder/Hard Disk for the tv now?

General / There's something about Halo.
17 December, 2006, 01:58:21 PM
Loads of people seem to consistently rate The Ballad of Halo Jones as one of their favourite 2000ad stories, myself included. I've never really thought too much about why I think that it is so good, until recently (and I need a re-read to confirm my thoughts).

So if you're a fan, what is it about the books that makes you rate the story so highly, and if you're not a fan, why didn't you like it?

"After Laurence and I had finished a series called Breathing Space for 2000AD we decided weâ??d like to continue working together so we put together a joint pitch for Axel Alonso at Marvel. Axel liked it and he liked Laurenceâ??s art on Breathing Space but the Marvel character in question wasnâ??t available, so he asked us if weâ??d be interested in pitching for an upcoming Wolverine special he was putting together. It all evolved a bit after that and we ended up getting the Christmas slot on Wolverine, cleansing the palette ready for Jeph Loeb to take over at issue 50"

Prog / Dredd Question (Origins related)
04 December, 2006, 09:18:14 PM
If Dredd, Rico, and the other clones were a result of "Accelerated Cloning", is it possible that Tek-Div could also control the aging process, and even decelerate it, especially as we're now what 50 years since they were "accelerated"?
