Help! / Wardog- where is it?
27 February, 2005, 02:13:03 PM
Would someone PLEASE tell me where I can get the Wardog graphic novel from (online).

Failing that, if any of you kind folks want to sell me their copy, or knows somewhere where to buy it, and can do so for me, then please email me off board.

Thanks- Daney

Marco,
How about sending Wake some cover images, page counts, weights etc so he can put them on this site? (If nothing else, for the ones already released)

I've posted most if not all of these on the message board, thanks to Amazon. Particularly fond of Dave Bishop's comments that he has yet to start writing Fiends ;-)

Where is the best (& cheapest) place to order these books from online?

I notice that Amazon have Final Cut, Blood Relative and Ruthless are all available, whilst the others are all pre-order titles. So are these three out early, or are they jumping the gun again?

Help! / Re: Off Topic: BT Yahoo Broadband....

Well, at the moment it would seem so yes.

I've now (finally) got Microsoft Outlook and IE working for her- but the "dial-up network connections" pop-up is still there (which is an improvement on the BT Login page which was what she had to use before)- She is set to log in manually- I just need to figure out how to get it to do this, without her having to press the connect button.
I'd have thought she'd be connecting on a LAN- but I tried that without much luck- so I'm going to try a few other things first.

OK, From BT's help page, it's all about the type of Modem that you use:

One of the main benefits of broadband services is that they are always on. This means that once you have logged on to the service it will be there for you to use whenever you want it.

With most USB connected modems, such as the one provided with the BT Yahoo! Broadband with modem service, the connection is lost when you turn your computer off.

With Ethernet modems the connection is generally maintained irrespective of whether your computers are On or Off.

Please note that with USB connected modems the connection may be lost if the PC is not used for a long period of time. Also, with all modems occasional network interruptions may require you to re-establish your connection.

It seems with this service that you have to log in every time you restart your computer. (According to their online help pages).
I can't find anywhere which tells how to set it so that it logs in when Windows starts.

Or it could be something to do with setting up the Dial-up Networking (but this shouldn't be neccessary should it?)

HEEEELLLLLPPPP!!!!

I don't understand (as I've not seen her system) why she has to start it up to get online.

I might have found a way to use IE.

And I assume killing of this ActiveX popup, is just a matter of changing ActiveX security settings.

My Mum's just got it- I don't know their browser system.

Can anyone tell me, is it possible to use IE with this system?
(HOW?)

Can it be set up so that as soon as she turns her pc on, she is automatcially logged onto the internet?

Cheers

Well, I bought a shed load from PVS a while back, and I know that he doesn't have spares of the ones I'm after, so that's ok... your secret is safe ;-)

Cheers for looking out. Any ideas about which dealers are reliable?

Classifieds / Does anyone still attend Comic Marts?
25 February, 2005, 01:26:08 PM
Does anyone here still attend comic marts?
Stuck in foreign parts, means I don't have the opportunity any more.
I'm looking for the last year's run of Eagle comics (from Jan 93-Jan 94 inclusive), as well as the issue dated October 1992.
These issues seem to rarely appear on Ebay, so I figure my best bet is probably a mart.
If anyone is attending one soon, and would be willing to look out for these for me, please let me know.
Alternativly if anyone has these issues, and wants to sell them, please feel free to contact me.

Thanks Daney!
