Subscribers poster is a new offer.

If you don't know what it means, wait til you get your prog *tsk* Impatient Imp *tsk*

If you've got your prog, youo'll know what T.O.T.Lev means (I've done it like that to avoid spoilering the spoilers, for those who haven't had their prog yet... something are best left unspoiled!

Did any subscribers get a free gift? I was under the impression (had read somewhere) that there was going to be one. Did anyone get the subscribers poster?

Or was the surprise T.O.T.Lev'?

Mark,
Well it used to be every Monday without fail, but since September it can turn up any day of the week, normaly Thursday or later.
It's not the subs people, I know.
It's not the Danish postal system- that's top quality.
I can only put it's lateness down to the UK postal service prioritisng UK mail ahead of "Foreign" mail. I'd like to put THAT down to the fact that they have to deal with Christmas postal problems. However given that my problems started back in September, I doubt that's the case.
Hope this helps.

Sorry for the delay with the final results, I've still not finished reading Prog 2006 and the Meg.
When I do, Ipromise I'll do the update...

... just to keep you hanging a little longer!

Bolt...

I wrote an Access database, which is actually very easy to update, and takes about 15 mins per prog.

The problem was that to get the data on the site, and looking the way it currently looks, takes a LOT of time.

Each file (there are 3 of them: one for the month, one for the overall leaderboard, and one for the creator statistics) first have to be converted to an Excel file, and then from an Excel file it is reformatted, and then converted to a text file, this is then imported into dreamweaver, as a table, and formatted again, so that it can be saved as an html page. The html page is then uploaded to the site.

(so four file formats, four programs, and three formats per month.... and then it is ready for your viewing pleasure)

I'm sure that if it didn't go on the official site, it could be done quicker, in fact I know it can, but the data that access generates isn't great to look at, which is why I decided to reformat it for the site.

My sub run out just before 2006 and 240....

... so I won't be able to plug the data in and announce a winner until I renew my sub, and they then arrive.
Sorry chaps.

Next Year: I'm afraid I won't be running it, as updating each month required 2-5 hours, and I don't have the time anymore. Sorry.

There's one Prog (2006) left.
Meg #240 will only be included if it comes out in December.

I've updated the leaderboards.

Congratulations go to Dudley, who sweeps up both October and November.

do the EE's count then? I assume that's just the covers?

Byron,
Did you read the rules?
and the small print where you have to pay a small joining fee?
I'm still waiting for yours!

The competition will end with Prog #2006, Meg#240, EE#13

are the last issues that will be used for point scoring.

Which means that there will be NO more EE's adding to the scores this year, once I add the latest update.

(2 progs, and a Meg to go IIRC)

No Bolt, it's called "Dramatic Tension", but don't worry you're nowhere near the top!!!

;-)

I do have one update for ready for October, and November will be ready shortly. I hope to have this update completed later this week.

Barring the appearance of an Extreme Edition in the post later this week, September's results are up.

The Satanist was soooooo close, but Gothmog who scored the same amount of points did so by scoring the points with one more player, and so just sneaks the months win...

... again.
