Erm, yeah, I see your point... Doh!
I was meaning the way it was used as an adjective.
How about I go for something slightly more obvious then... Drokk!
Dare used it, and Dredd still does.
But it isn't quite here yet is it?

Also, isn't Scrotnig alien? So I guess it won't enter the OED until Tharg becomes editor of that too.

... my backprogs from #1.
I've noticed a number of phrases, which at the time were supposed to sound like 'future talk'... and now we are in the future... well, they just don't sound quite right.
If I star the ball rolling, with "Hyper...", (which appears constantly throughout the first few progs), what other phrases or words can you come up with from old progs, which as 'future talk' just isn't going to happen!

(oh yeah, did they honestly think Angela Rippon was still going to be reading the BBC News in 1999?)

I can't help wondering how much better The Scrap would have been if some of Spur's word play hadn't been edited!

Or add the voluntary spellchecker... for those who are a little paranoid about what other people think of you if you make too many typos.

You're right about slowing the forum down... an on/off button would be good, but leave the possibility of the icons, as I think they look good too.

How about instead of adding an edit button, you add a spellcheck button, that can (but doesn't have to) be used prior to posting the message... next to the post message and reset buttons.

But you might need to make the 'dictionary' 2000ad specific so that words such as Dredd are not checked.

Yeah,
I read Ninth Art all the time. It's a very good comics site (possibly the best-with maybe one excepetiption ;-)).
They have done a number of articles recently on 'The Dredd Generation.' and their comic reviews (The Shipping Forecast) are the best on the web.
... and you live with these guys?

How about a new tab, next to 'downloads' & above 'publications'?

Or not!
