Fan-bloody-tastic.
This is actually one collection I would have liked as a hardback-style collection, with annotated notes by the cript and art droids.

I thought EE20 was supposed to be a Chopper collection. I'm glad this came first.

Cab Inc 2 includes:
Krystalnacht (Prog 2004)
Picking Up The Pieces (Prog 1400)
Creepshow (Prog 1401-1408)
Weird War Tales (Prog 2005)
Safe House (Prog 1420-1424)
Northern Dark (Prog 1443-1448)
Strange Bedfellows (Prog 2006)
Changelings (Prog 1469-1474)
a 3 page sketch-book,
and creator biogs.

So, yes it does take us up to date, which worries me a little if the story is ending this year, how will the finale be collected- or will there be enough for a substantial 3rd book (doubt it) in 2008?

I just received Walking Dead Books 1-3 from Wickedwendistore. Good service.
I use Amazon Sellers a fair bit, but the high postage can be a bit of a put off- why can't they combine postage for orders?

The 'unavailability' of books to me seems like a good argument to set up some form of subscription process for the trades.
At the very least, pre-ordering books shoud be an option in the online shop, surely?

Happy Christmas to you too.

Jon is indeed doing a fabulous job on the reprints, making some fine choices of both what to collect, and what to include in the collections.

As per my above post, it seems that the first edition problems have all been addressed, and the new cover makes this another smashing Christmas release.

Bad Company was one of the first 2000ad stories that I read, (and bought as a Titan reprint) and is therefore dear to me. This collection is aces.

The question this book rasies is 'Is it worth getting if you already own the first edition?'. The answer has to be, that it depends on how much of a completist you are.

To answer my own question, I've just checked an old tread.
Bad Company2nd Edition.
Has a new "Rebellion-spine", a new cover, corrected the typo on the cover, and reprint listings, the sizing issue looks to have been addressed too.
I also noticed that the spine includes a "1" at the bottom. Does that mean a second book could be in the pipleline, collecting "Kano" and the last book, or is the "1" just standard Rebellion reprint procedure now- incase of future releases?

Postie arrived this morning with:
a) second edition release of Bad Company.
b) Complete Nemesis Volume 1.

Complete Nemesis has a lovely spine, an introduction by Pat Mills, and an afterword by Kev O'Neill, as well as a covers and pin-ups galley. It collects: Terror Tube, Killer Watt, Book I: World of Termight, Book II: The Alien Allience, Book III: The World of Nemesis, Book IV: The Gothic Empire, The Sword Sinister (2000ad Sci-Fi Special 1981), and The Secret Life of the Blitzspear (1983 Annual).

For those worried about the quality of the reprint: paper is the same stock as the case files. Depending on how anal you are about your reprints, you might think the ink is a little thick in places- from my flick through, it's more than fine for me. Centerspread/gutter worriers, again where it occurs, it hasn't been addressed, however on my flick through, I've only seen a couple of pages, where there is a thread in the gutter, and it doesn't make that much of a difference to the story. Certainly I didn't notice text being eaten by the gutter- spine benders will appreciate the closeness to the gutter more than spine "decreasers".

For £13.99 this is truly a great collection. It's a shame that it didn't make publication ot time for many readers christmas stockings, but at least you know what to use your vouchers on now!

Anybody remind me what the "issues" with the first BC collection were, and I'll check if they've been addressed.

Saving the best for last...
