Help! / Re: Starting someone on comics.......

Bad Company, Button Man, Strontium Dog: Case Files, Halo Jones- all worthy collections any newbie should be encouraged to read- and they are all 2000AD related.

Alternativelt go with Logan's choice, just don't let his Mum veto it.

I guess Rufus could provide more info about it- he credits it to 2000ad cover and content.

Kinda Stainless Steel Rat meets Johnny Nemo.

Has Carlos' artwork improved with age, or not?

SPOILERS Ahoy.

Origins: Felt mighty let down that it wasn't a double length episode, or that there wasn't a second Dredd story.

Not read anything else, BUT have to agree with the above about D'Israeli's Irving-a-like.

And that the character in Kingdom looks similar to previous Elson "monsters".

ABC looks lovely, if a little dark.

Not sure if the MACH1 return (in the form of spin-off Greysuits) will be good or not. Savage returned well, but I hope this isn't doing one-return-to-many.

PJ's artwork gets better (reads grows on me) every issue it appears in.

Reardon's work on 10Seconders looks great. Is this going to be colour or b/w?

Who's done the artwork for next weeks cover?

James: Mushroom-head Alpha ruined that cover for me.

Wils: Wot, a christmas cover, where Santa-Tharg has prematurely emptied his sack?

Is this a marmite cover?

I like it a lot, especially Santa-Tharg's little helpers.http://www.2000adonline.com/covers/specials/hires/prog2007.jpg">

Hmmm! I answered
Yes, I had a copy on VHS, but haven't updated and
I have never bought a copy of the movie, begause I recorded off tv, onto VHS- so I never actually bought it.
I might if there was a Directors cut on DVD and
I would if there were a Wagner and Grant commentary on it... and it added to the film- guess it depends on what other extras were available.

As a Sci-fi film, I enjoyed it.
As an adaptation of the comic character, I accept that it is a hollywood interpretation of the character.
Could it have been better- yes.
Could it have been more true to the original source material- hell yeah.

Games / Re: Got Wii?

But isn't the controller problem that you mention, similar to what is currently acutally happening with both the Eye-toy, and Buzz controllers?

Nothing you've said there encourages me to buy it.

I own a PS2. I have to ask, if the brought out a similar style wireless controller, and the games to match- wouldn't it be just as good, but at ½ the price?

How much life is there left in my PS2?
