Impressive stuff.

And as it's your first attempt with a new media I'll add a 'very' to the beginning of that first sentence.

Look forward to Starship Troopers - will you be doing the cover/s?

Gangsta hug! No, no, no, no, no, no, no. Just no!

You need a good 3 feet between the men involved, a bit of shuffling of the feet, then some quick eye contact, a nod of the head and their name stated quietly: 'John'.....'Dave'

Then hopefully a topic of conversation will quickly emerge and you can get on with drinking.

This greeting is best used when accompanying females know each other really well and are warmly hugging away in the background 'cos they haven't seen each other since the day before yesterday.

'Jeez, Chill out' goes to a writer on the letters page. Not any comments anyone has made. Review the prog not the review thread.

I'll accept that firm handshake, maybe even accompanied by a manly slap on the shoulder.

No hugs I'm afraid.

Hugs are acceptable when drunken bonding, watching bad TV (soaps) with the current missus, or from my nephews and nieces to make me feel like the single most lucky uncle in the world.

Tulkas - personal space restrictions currently active.

6 years ago EDGE's job vacancy section ran to about 12 pages.

Now it has 1 1/2 of agency ads and not even the full page ones of old.

Trouble in the UK games industry?

Nah.

On my desktop at the mo i have various images by a very talented artist called Bengal. Recommend checking out his site if you haven't seen his stuff before.

He is French though.

Belated Happy Australia day, Floyd.

Explains all the strange and garbled text messages i got through from my Antipodean buddies yesterday. Yah, just can't text and sup at the same time.

Farscape is/was great.

The New Battlestar Galactica is complete shite designed to bore rigid at one hundred yards.

I just can't justify my opinions.

Cover - Now i see it in situ i think it really works selling the prog.

Dredd - great stuff. Don't know where this is heading but a story called "death in the family" won't be welcome.

SCB - Skip

Slaine - Skip muddy head shots.

Caballistics - Cool, thought the fight would be brief. A strip i usuall skip has now caught my attention. I'll have to pick up the GN, or at least read it in the shop.

Dante - Lurvly, though i do hold the same fears as expressed by others. I always thought Dante was a finite series with a story arch, but now it seems to have passed the big pay off - The Tsar Wars - and is trying to find a reason to stick around. I still think it's the best thing in the prog but would just like to have an idea of it's direction. And though I'm a big fan of Burn's draftmanship it would be nice to have another artist - presuming Fraser is not available - to break up the pace, even if it's just a guest slot like Henry Flint in Gulag Apocolyptic.

As cat fan (I'm not typing 'lover')I'm glad Morrison didn't go down the route of making one of the animals betray the others - the cat being the obvious choice as cats always seem to get tarred by the evil brush.

Don't mind dogs either, just not a fan.

Glass collector moving onto barman - very good advice for a shy person if they can stick at it.

Barman is one of the few enjoyable menial jobs I've had - you just have to be social especially with the barflys and local lushes.

You can also learn from all the 'romance' that goes on right in front of you as you work - though this can make one cynical if you're too long in the job.

In brief - Get out there.
