Yeah, that does look fun.

Definitely worth the price of admission.

I'll be there. Looking forward to it. If anyone is a bit early, I'm going to start the day as I mean to continue in the same pub we were in last time and then wander up to FP for 12.

What pub was this?

I'm always happy for a DogBreath script to fill up my inbox.

Though it would have to join a small queue at the mo, and I'm partial to drawing the original SD characters, 'cos when else am I going to get the chance?

Off Topic / Re: Fit Club

Well, I had a medical this morning and have put on 2kg since my last one 6 months ago, so it's Fat not Fit club for me.

Though my blood pressure was superb prompting the nurse to say I should get a badge for having such great BP for the last 10 years.

Swings and roundabouts.

True Grit lived up to all my expectations. Thoughly enjoyed myself.

Saw your books (3 copies each) on the shelves of Waterstones Birmingham today, Hoohaa.

I got to turn to my friend and proudly say "Hey, I'm aware of this guy's presense on a comic related messageboard I lurk on". My friend was as impressed as he should be.

Strangely both books were in the Crime section.

Well that's my idea fucked.

Cheers, as usual, Kerrin.

Blood Meridian by Cormac McCarthy.

Beautifully written, but so harsh as to take your breath away.

I was hoping this was just lies.

Having just seen that picture I'm now pleased to see Hayley Atwell is in it.  :D

He's Hugo Weaving, he's red and he's actually a skull! Huzzah!

I feared a Green Goblin helmet style botch on that front.

Pity he isn't a Nazi.

I have never met Michael, but I'm pretty sure he owes me a drink from a Bristol Con a few years back...

Huge congrats on the appointment.

Just booked to go on this http://www.bleedingcool.com/2011/02/02/spend-a-week-with-bryan-talbot-working-on-your-graphic-novel/ as a birthday present to myself for my 40th later in the year.

It will now be cancelled at the last moment.

Was going to get a commission, but never heard back from the creator involved - which with my track record is kinda ironic.  :)

I told an Art Manager buddy, and fellow 2000ad fan, what had happened and how it had surprised me, and he just grinned stating "Why do you think they pay him the big bucks? He just KNOWS!"
