Help! / Re: Anyone good at crosswords?

Heads up, Tordelback, the new Viz is out and you have until the 4th to send in the crossword. Fifty pound prize - you could probably do with it.  ;)

Here's one to whet your appetite -

Ought to clinch desperately, as turtle's head makes contact with kecks (8, 5)

Quote(resists the temptation to be rude )

Dirty rude or ill-mannered rude?

If it's the former, I say go for it

Happy birthday! Not quite there myself, but, y'know, the idea of turning 40 isn't even remotely as scary for me as the thought of turning 30 used to be.
Enjoy your day, and if Godpleton comes in here and sneers at you, we'll all rush him.

Why, Mr Campbell,i didn't recognise you with that expression on your face!
But yeah, it's absolutely great to have been involved with this, and well done to everyone - especially the inarguably legendary Shark, who is well due a Krill Tro Thargo. And a million pound.

EDIT: Forgot to mention the Carlos-chainsaw-effect round the edges of the pages - arsom!

EDIT 2: And I've only just noticed the squirrel page numbers - P14 wouldn't get a look in!

Get in! The anticipation has been absolutely killing me.

Carlos Ezquerra has a comic with my art in it: Oh, how the tables have turned!

Quote*I'm rather a backslider, but I still hold to much of the values and haven't given up on it totally and Jesus mockery makes me a bit uncomfortable.

Never read this.

wow! I'm going to watch it again. But I'll just fast-forward to that bit and not worry so much about the rest, thanks.

no way! Did he have any speaking lines?

I seem to remember Robert Smith being a big fan of 2000ad too - I think Tharg even quoted him as saying so some time in the 80s.  And Ian Dury was in the Dredd film, I'm told? I don't remember that.

Heh. Thanks for the heads-up, guys - I'll have a look at the other options you suggested and see which one suits me (i.e. is the easiest to use).

QuoteNo worries/ Be sure to keep us in the loop on what you do.

I will indeed - though sadly there won't be much in the way of sci-fi / comic style stuff, because I'm rubbish at it.

QuoteIf you just want to make a site for yourself it's a lot of hassle learning everything acquiring the software and finding a host and domain supplier... I haven't used it but I think the Mr Site product, which comes with everything you need including a library of templates, looks like a good option to me - you can see samples of sites built using Mr Site here: http://www.mrsite.com/sample_websites.asp

That looks great! Takes away all the hassle - think that may be the route for me
