Bump!

Come on guys, its pretty slow on the new Wallpaper front generally lately - how about a Simping Detective one too ?

I'm getting bored of my 'Hellman of Hammer Force' wallpaper (from the 'Action' site).

Suggestions / Re: Not reading the Meg? Check out...

I'd say this is the best the Meg has been in this incarnation.
Mr Barnes, with this line-up you are spoiling us !

I demand you insert some dross strips to reduce the volume of my scanning archiving work...

i suugested a year ago that Rebellion/Carlos colour the old Strontium Dog stories & then produce them as GN's, but do they listen to me ? pah.

General / monthly comics or trades ?
21 June, 2004, 10:19:59 PM
I'm quitting my monthly comic buying habit
for a number of reasons :-
(1) I'm moving to the wilds of Hampshire(Liss) where they don't have a Forbidden Planet down the road.
(2) I'm fed up having to go to comic shops every
week anyway just to get the odd issue i want.
(3) I realised trade collections are cheaper !
'Walking Dead' GN is well under the price of the
1st 6 issues it collects. That really cheesed me off.
(4) You can get TPB's delivered to your door by Amazon @ a discount.
(5) trades are easier to re-read than going thru boxes for old issues
(6) you can wait until you know whether a story is hot or not by reading the reviews, rather than buying
the first few issues then realising its a load of pony.

Decided to limit myself to ?25 (post free de-minimis @ Amazon) every 2 months.

First up are the first 2 'Sleeper' GN's.

Basically monthly comics are going the way of the dinosaur ! Anyone disagree ?

News / Re: Charleys War GN

Just read an excellent *full page* review of this in the latest 'Word' magazine. Thats just the kind of exposure (i.e. out of the comic in-crowd) that it needs. (If only 2K could get more articles like that!).

Yeh I'm looking forward to Jamie's collections - pretty curious to see how the size thing work out.
I mean bigger than the US (A5?) but smaller than 2K (A4?)- interesting, hope it doesnt detract from the art. Looking forward to a complete Dante run anyway !
