Well I have waited a long time for this and I have to say I am a little disappointed :-(
Bought the game for the pc, completed it in less than half a day, sold it.
Now this upsets me as I collect anything JD as I have the full collection of comics and megazines, figures you name it.
There are some good point but there are more bad points.
Good points
-----------
Its Judge Dredd
Co-Op
Nice extra features when completing level
Comic feel to the characters
Guns are quite good
Fatties :-)
Bad Points
----------
Looks dated
Movement feels artificial
Jumping is pathetic
Low polys for models
Not many different character models
story line is pants
End boss/level is way too easy even on hard
4-5 hours play to complete
Hardly any interaction with other judges (1 if my memory serves me right, throughout the whole game)
Poor AI and very predictable.
The thing that really made me laugh was the pathetic jump that Dredd has. You can jump and move left and right when in mid air. It feels as though they thought of adding the jump in as a last minute thing. Although you know that that couldnt have been the case.
I would have preferred Rebellion to work on an existing engine instead of developing this out dated one. They could have spent more time cramming in more characters, better textures, better gameplay and tweaking the physics and AI.
Look what Call of Duty looks like and thats on a modified Quake 3 engine.
The game just feels very tacky in places and not professional looking.
The look and feel wouldnt have bothered me if the storyline had been gripping but that was also lackluster.
I am sorry to give so many negative points about the game, I just feel for the time it has taken them its a very poor product.
I hope it does well for Rebelion and they get there money back but I wouldnt bet my money on it not getting in the top ten. I hope I am wrong.
