Cheers lads, part funded by the IMF and ECB and the Western Bank of McDonald, there will be vouchers to collect for the free cheese!!

I should have them back from the printers toward the end of next week, all purchasing details will be available when I have the issues to hand.

All Social welfare from the dole to pensions, childrens allowance,  is going to get hammered, because it the easy target, no messy unions to get involved. The low paid will get brought into the tax bracket and the minimum wage will probably be reduced. Metro north(right name?) the Greens pet project will get the flick. Water charges will be introduced, which I have no particular beef with, I pay for the ESB no reason I shouldnt pay for water.
Property tax will probably be introduced which I have a hugh problem with, I have sunk a tonne of money into my house over the years and Im lucky enough not to be caught in negative equity, But I have paid vat on everything that went into the huse, Stamp duty, registration fee commencement fee planning fee,  etc, I have paid my tax on my house, so feic off you bastards!!!!!

I reckon the budget wont be put through, the governmet will fall. There will be a new government before christmas with a comfortable majority, (not FF) who will ram the budget through, international markets will react favourably, so we may not have to dip into the IMFecb contingency fund.

I wouldnt get too panicked yet unless you are stuck with a mortgage you cant pay( there should be some sort of help fo those)  Ireland is still in a very good position, far from been broke the Irish taxpayer has vast amounts of money piled away but they are too frightened to spend it, once everything settles that money will reappear. Ireland also has the highest birthrate in Europe, and a young highly skilled workforce and the only English Speaking country in the Eurozone, which is of big interest to american corpos.

Is there enough predictions there?!  Be interesting to see how it pans out, Im positive, today is the worst day, and in the words of that other Irishman, 'things can only get better'

Prog / Re: Prog 1710 - Slaine The Exorcist.
12 November, 2010, 11:33:36 PM
An OK prog, which compared to an OK prog of the nineties its fantastic, we are spoilt these days.
Dredd was enjoyable, im warming to Nick Dyers art. Sin/Dex is enjoyable as usual, The art on the furure shock was class, the story was a bit flat. Dandridge looks promising, enjoyed it, hopefully its OK, I dont like Ampney or Bix for that matter so I hope it dosent outstay its welcome. Slaine is fine, done for the European market at this stage Id say, I cant help feel that these two talents couldnt be used to tell a different better story.

There mightnt be much interest to this here, but this  weekend see the first test between Ireland and Scotland in the Hurling-Shinty compromise international. Im not a big soccer fan but I do like a bit of G Football, Rugby, and the king of sports, Hurling. Unfortunatly Mayo(where Im from) dont feature in the McCarthy cup, so the internationals are alway a great way too passionatly cheer a hurling team on. I know it on Irish tele TG4 at 4.30. So c'mon Ireland.

Liam Sharp is a great artist, I agree that the ABC warrior stuff wasent great, but I bought Event Horizon and his 'sketchbook' Lap of the Gods a while back and the art in Lap of the Gods is incredible. Dont know do I like that 1st panel too much, the helmet is great, second panel is pure class. Dose anyone have the anthology he did for time out 'four feet from a rat' that they would like to sell?

I picked up in the Two Euro shop a Swamp Thing cartoon from the eighties, possibly the most pathetic thing I have ever watched. I also picked up  some black and white Flash Gordon and Superman, havent watched them yet but probably will throw an eye over the Christmas.
