I saw that as well, but there was two artists on the credits, one was will simpson, who I presumed was responsible for the painted stuff, I thought the comics strips didnt look like will sipsons stuff though.
Did you catch the other artists name?
Other than that it didnt really live up to its name 'so you thought you knew'

Books & Comics / Re: The Spirit

Love the Spirit, i think its simplicity is it strenght. Eisners use of panels to convey the passage of time is so simple like a dripping tap in the background or a ball rolling across the panels.
Also the intro pages are always a joy to behold, every single one sets the tone and mood of the story. Reminds me of astrix in that even though the storie are straight foward and fun to read, they can be re read and every time i notice something that i have missed before.

i was lucky enough to meet Eisner in Dublin a few years back AND get 3 day of lectures off him.
I was going home after one of the lectures and i went into Forbidden Planet,  he was doing signings and there wasnt one person around him, which i thought was sad since that week he was in Ireland he was interviewed by the Irish Times and an arts program on radio.

Johnny you can pick up copies of the warren and kitchen sink Spirit pretty cheap, picked up a good few in shop on crow corner in temple bar in dublin.
