today was the first snows day, down to around 1500ft on th hills at 6am, sleety in the day, thawed up to above 2500ft by evening.

It don't usually happen til first week of October, and the October 1st big gale was last week (fun watching coastguard rescue yaught wot broke moorings & then i rescued a manx shearwater wot was blown off course, now re-released)... its all too darned early.

okay, i was musing, as you do... & i wondered;

what sort of relationship do the judges have with the megacity media. Do the people get the whole news or is it edited & sanctioned by judges. i remember lots of tales which feature reporters or newsreaders. but i'm not sure how things currently sit.
i imagine in the early days they had a pretty tight control about what went public, but what about now ? how much news like say, sin-city , the trial of orlok is covered or is it all dumbed down "squirrel saves cute toddler in icecream fiasco" rubbish like we get ?
if it is dumbed down, is that what the people want or what the judges decide?

just wondering like.

well ! That was FUN!  
great location, great people, great atmosphere, generally a total blast & well worth driving 550 miles for.

sadly sitting in the driving seat for that many hours leaves me no brains cells for a proper gossip & paying respect to the organisers.

A funny thing happened to me today...well if you have a cruel nasty warped sense of humour.

I was waiting in Inverness fair town (not) for my lovely son (not) to come out of his driving theory test (failed... shhhh). So finding myself with a rare 10 minutes, i leant against the building wall, in the sunlight & took the opportunity to read my prog, which has been carried around with me all week as usual waiting for such a moment.  Happily enjoying Dredd i was when a gentleman came up to me & asked if he could have a copy of .... The BIG ISSUE. . . .

now isnt it nice to know that predjudice has broken down in this modern day so that a homeless person need not be seen as a smellie olde tramp, & someone gorgeous & fit & swishy as myself could be mistaken for a Big Issue vendor...isnt it !!!!

most offensive is that the mighty Ones illustrious Organ should be mistaken for anything other than the comic-y wonder that it is.. the grexnix concerned clearly had suffered extreem thrill deprivation & failed to see the Thargic Rays ( as opposed to Cosmic Rays' ) throbbing from the prog.
The Fool scuttled embarasedly away before i could lecture him on the joy of thrills. pah.
