okay, ive tried this before cos i'm a right scrounger. heres your chances to swop tat with each other;

Upon a recent adventure to a city which involved a chinese take out, i discovered they use fantastic containers, you know little plastic boxes with lids? i could really use loads of stuff like this, ( currently using crappy margarine boxes ) Soooooooo if any of you city dudes want to save me them & stick them in the post , I can send sae etc.

i can offer..... um....er.... not a lot at mo, i've flogged it all... lovely pottery ?

how, dear boarders, do you cope when the board disappears, what did you do to alliviate the tedium of reality/ make the best of no distractions?

me? i worked very very hard & did a rally & chilled & watched tv, & read & did loads N loads n loads.

Ive just got a new lap-top ( WOOHOO ), & now have a phobia about checking by debt balance overdrawn hell zone. ( OH MY GRUD ! )

now, o clever ones who understand networking etc, can i plug it into this familiar & well customised babie, & direct feed all the stuff i need into it... if so how? which wire where ?
or do i have to stick everything on a disc to transfer it ?

If you could have a realistic robot replicant of yourself, that could only be programmed to assist in one area of your life & basically take your place for you... what tasks/ role/ job/ stuff would you asign to it ?

I have this ambition see, ive had it for many years now, to do some research / explore / adventure into the ancient ARt style in a region of Siberia ( as you do ). But family comes first & i'm waiting for them to get a leetle older then i'm off, like a cork from a bottle, all be it a slow one with a zimmer frame by the time i escape.

With this year having been so prision like, ive been cheering myself up in a world of travelogue fantasy. Ive exhausted the library, my book shelves & not affording my fave authors other books, ive taken to e-stalking him instead.

Its too bright & gives me a headache.
Its one of those things , people talk about oh aye the soviets are making a giant mirror as big as the moon etc & i scoff & imagine i will hear about these things... so imagine my shock when i said to someone "what the hell is that HUGE planet over there?!" & they said oh thats the space station.. eh?

in the chat room a while back I was talking about whacking out Oil paintings to flog on ebay.. which ive just started to do. The subject of cynical commercialism destroying 'Art' came up.

so therein lies a debate, especially when thinking of comic artists / writers, it has to be readable & marketable doesn't it.?

Heres my angle, this is what works for me; At art college I chose ceramics over Fine art because the liberal Stalinist proles can afford pretty mugs but not gallery paintings, a skilled craft like pottery seemed a more grounded universally understood method of creative expression.
so now I'm oil painting again after years, if I was trying to do it to create good art, I could not. My motivation is simple, I am desperate to pay the bills n feed the kids.  I believe in selling things that I approve of, & don't make me barf, i.e. nessie paintings & 3 second swish orange sunsets. This simple need to sell stuff that I'm happy to have my name on, and the simple not taking it seriously approach totally liberates me, instead of wrestling as an artist "why why why??, its not good enough", its just "okay that'll do... next".. this product orientated approach will have the fine artists etc. turning in their pre-graves,  But I find it really ironic, that Ive tried Every method of earning a living possible here, tree planting, childminding, cleaning, welk-picking thru to teaching etc. & here i am, actually earning doing what I love ..creating stuff ( sort of , hopefully )

Much as in the current crappy board climate it saddens me to bung up a 'me me me !' post, i'm afraid it has to be done.

I'm off to the SNOWMAN rally this w/e. this is a big one cos;
a) Its the start of the scottish championships
b) Its probably the only one i can('t) afford to do this year.
c) we got a brand spanky new battered old car, this one has proper rally gearing & slipped diffs n everything, and a pen holder AND i can reach the tripometer, it goes like scary bananas-o & feels less likely to shake to bits in the first half mile.

So if youre in the far north, come see us, were the yellow one number 72, that means 72 minutes at least, behind the scoobies, mitsies, & MG6R4's..

You know how the driver & co-drivers names are in white letters in back window? well you'll spot us "pluto & Mini-mouse ", a poke at some peoples egos maybe, but do i look like a sodding mini-mouse ?! ( don't answer that )

all this is dependant on my driver finding a bit of paper he's lost today tho', & me not loosing my bottle after that non-rally car crash this year .... arghghghgggg!!!!...

okay, friends teen son just written novel, bizarre freaky nonsense apparently, the boy should come here, hes always been a brilliant comic type artist since baby dome... anywey, first publishers he submitted to said, yes we'll publish but you pay. "ee ow"  any recomendations of companies who take on crazy new stuff for him to submit too ? advice ?
