Icey nights... fun going to fire call early this morning iced windscreen in a hurry...

meanwhile roads clear, snow thawing in lovely sunlight so starting to panic less about last minute Hi Ex road blockage.

apparently there was a good show of Northern lights last night, so those heading North might get a treat ! (its messed up our pagers tho ! )

I'm not sure if I'm exited now, exceeded critical mass, turned into a robo-organiser or what.. 2 days off running around playing firemen this weekend was a nice break though !

keep telling myself that anything we do or don't do now is immaterial, the whole thing has its own momentum thats WAY bigger than we are. Most of the works done now, I just hope we get some time to socialise as I'm really looking forward to seeing everyone !

absolutely ! doing the comps is just pure play time instead of work art motivational drudgery.

yes there are & its my idea of hell !

I get very cross/jealous about all the designs I can't afford to have, I feel like half finished work. pees me off seeing people who get the whole lot done in a short space of time, because they can. Pee's me off the competitive crap, look i've got more than you.. people often ask me 'How many have you got ?' what we're counting ? who cares, I just want mine up to date is all.
Pee's me off the macho pain competitive crap, look I've got my eyeballs pierced, & my dick tattooed,  woopeeshit, who cares, if its about the enjoying pain you've got a mental problem. and ooo a £5 every time someone sees mine & just has to show me their wobbly mutant blurry dolphin, I don't care !  I wear pants it doesn't mean I want to see everyone elses !

No I would only enjoy a tatt con if I had lots of money to track down a good artist...that & getting to ogle at blokey tatts... in a superficial shallow sexist sort of way.

anyway as a member of the jeans wearing community I am deeply offended, by something somewhere.

hurrah ! I wish we could move Inverness a bit nearer other places for the event, the transport scuppers a few folks... But its amazing how far some people are travelling from.

anyway, I havent been on the board for a bit as I have been shackled to the Hi Ex cubicle, its built out of boxes of graphic novels, auction & raffle goodies and lots of exiting comic stuff, The courier delivery bloke is my best pal who visits every morning, with boxes of joy.

Theres new Guests popping up even now & potentially more yet - fingers crossed. Mikes keeping all the news up to date as it happens on the website. While its very full on, stressful, nuts, organising all this its also very exciting & rather a privilege. But ooo the pressure! will folks turn up ? will they have fun? will the traders make money? will the guests enjoy themselves? will the venue have us back again? will we go bankrupt? will all those drokking goodie bags fit in the van? and worst of all will RAC behave himself ?!?

oh aye, talking about me behind my back ?!

I hope there isn't any creepy adulation voting going on & that any votes I get are because people like the artwork, its just an insult if not.

okay this month and last were thin on the ground... maybe theres lots of factors, but last month was Christmas/new year when people were busy doing non-routine stuff. maybe this year people are just plodding on & knackered cos January is miserable. I just havent entered because i've been up to my eyes in it, I keep meaning to pop onto the board & see whats happening but I've been really really busy!

So my vote is keep going but maybe longer times like 6 weeks to give everyone time to scribble out ideas.

People complain about the same people winning, & maybe that was in the back of my head as well when I sat out Christmas. But i think if you did away with voting/ competition element then theres less incentive to bother joining in. Would it help if it was best out of 6 ? or the winner sat the next one out or something ?

anyway... I've got my mad axe to polish or something.

Blimey some good entries !  Sorry I've been all a busy to pop in & see whats happening around here.. I'm liking the theme, I'm all freshly fired up & inspired from a first aid course last week... but then I do feel we already have a winner as Gibson quarter has shrewdly played the big tit card before i could, damn it!   Now I'll have to think of something REally really good... or with bigger tits to be in with a chance of winning.

If i get a bleeding * minute.

* bleeding, see what i did there ? medical theme, bleeding, gettit ?...
