well ive had a mammoth prog catch up read recently, so looked forward to getting involved with some juicey on-topicia, such as ;

shame they didnt show this in cal-hab, what with cucuillin being trained up in these parts, by the warrior queen/ pict/ witch Scathagh ( sp ? ) who Isle of Skye was named after, ive been to the alleged dun/ castle/ fort where this happened, & the historical chronology is a bit out, but there is a great scary bridge thing to the castle which could very easily be the one where he did his salmon leap after being wound up by the local red-neck shinty boys.

well having not read the books at all & having no idea about them appart from having a sketch of V by the charming Mr lloyd...

watching the film as a film, i thought it was great. but then i generally do. i thought it a bit dis-jointed in places but put that down to trying to cram in or cut comic sub-plots & them failing to achieve that in the smooth simplistic linear style we have come to expect from films, whereas we knoe comics go off on one & dawdle about & make up their minds as they go along what the story is , we seem to tolerate & enjoy this in a comic, but films have to be so spelt out & analysable by school kids writing essays .

someone suggested we get together when i was in london, i pointed out that i had an underage child with me, it was said that it was okay for 16 year olds to be in pubs.
i said i'd maybe go along if it was going to be okay & the juve was quite happy.
It seemed rude & shit not to, since the 'smoke-con' date was arranged for my visit.
we got there, the pub was empty & smoke free, we were served drinks, after which the barlady got shirty. so we fucked off & eventually found a restaurant to go to instead.

i am not in the habit of trawling my children around stinky pubs, in fact i'm not in the habit of visiting pubs myself, or getting pissed , as the whole pisshead booze culture thing fucks me off big time, I went to london to escape the cretinous gibberings of pissed people & binge upped twats,

so don't lay the irresponsible mother bollocks on me.

thus can be observed my fine mothering skills have paid off.

what naffed me off was the said unfriendly moo, serving a round of drinks & taking the money before phoning her manager right in front of us & claiming " something doesnt smell right "...
