Richard Elson was my favorite artist for two years of my life as a young youth. I have never met him, but i won't hear a bad word said about him...

General / Re: monthly comics or trades ?...

Yeah, i know what you mean. I think the marvel graphic novels, i.e 'origin', which i bought recently, are more appealling to non-comics readers,; my dad got into that one and 'dark knight returns'. I want to see how the new davis-penned xmen turns out (i bought the 1st part at bristol, just because of the claremont/davis return), but it's too much of an effort to go every month to a shop which is pretty sloppy about keeping their stock in any good condition.

i was looking through some recent back-issues of tooth, and in the nerve center there was an advert for an up-coming thrill, title on the lines of 'crouching sun, hidden moon', maybe. what happened to that one then?

Tomorrow i go to bristol '04. Right now i am listening to the 'flaming lips', my fav band (on the computers in a public library, with 'borrowed' headphones from school, oh, the trickery!), just seen the new metaphrog song/animation, most uplifting, and decided to post here to let you all now how i'm doing. Well, not bad, i did my French As level exams today, my 17th birthday was last saturday, and tomorrow is half term. And i have no piano lesson today, which was a surprise, so i get to skive and sit down contemplating life in the comfy computer chairs here in the recently refurbished hi-tech library. Ah.........

You see a lot of country pubs with year-round festive lights, although not strictly christmas-related they do give a lazy impression.

I thought the recent clone story was groovy. And this new one seems to be a classic in the making, n'est pas? But: who is the strange russian dude on the last page of this weeks story? A clone of War Marshall Kazan or what? Hmm...

Anyone see this new program on channel 4, Sunday? Anyway, to cut the story short, it featured Staz Johnson (artist for 2000ad, of 'killer' fame), and a dude who liked Slaine (a picture of said character was displyed in Langley-mode). Great!
