yes, but a rehash of West Side Story with Vampires and Werewolves?
c'mon, it's gotta be worth consulting the lawyers at least.

Other Reviews / Re: Hulk

I'm relieved to see reviews praising the cgi Hulk himself, I was worried after I saw him looking frankly a bit dodgy in some trailers. I'm a big fan of Ang Lee, I'm really looking forward to seeing this now.

I've just come back from my extended clan's annual gathering, and very pleasant it was too, sitting in blazing hot sun all afternoon drinking beer...

My brother's hosting it next year, so it'll probably piss down, knowing his luck.

If the Queen gets Ben Elton executed, I'll support the monarchy til my dying breath.

as for after the Queen... well, how bad can an adulterous, tree hugging, dope smoking oppressor of Cornwall be as a monarch?

John Lennon wrote Paperback Writer for a bet, after a friend challenged his boast that he could write a song on any subject and it would get to No. 1.

I suspect my favourite time is the same as most other's, i.e. the first few years when I was reading it (in my case prog 281 - ca. 500), when I was still young enough to be innocently thrilled by it all. I certainly remember prog 500 as being one of, if not my most favourite ever.
I also remember the excitement reading Destiny's Angels, which began at that time, not really knowing who the characters were but realising that there was some major stuff going on here, then digging around collecting back issues and hte titan reprints, putting the jigsaw together... it's that sense of discovery that you can't recapture as a cynical weary adult.

Having said that, I think it's on a roll at the moment, mostly of course because of the efforts of Andy Diggle and Matt Smith, but possibly partly because having begun the slide into senility I'm returning to that wide eyed state of mind...

hey, great cover there, Jock, shame the logo's still rubbish ;)

I'm not sure I buy the idea of DC wanting control of files... surely they could simply put it in your contract that you have to scan the artwork to X resolution, save as X file etc...?

sounds like they're just being arsey to me.

And it's very thoughtless of the pair of you to be sodding off to America before you've done another Lenny Zero series. Or, Dig, Snow/Tiger 2.

of course, I'm only whinging cos I'm jealous. Well done and good luck to the both of yers.

I find the idea that a judge would take the long walk to get a shag strangely appealing :)

When I first encountered the art of Mike McMahon (in the Dr. Who strip "Junkyard Demon", if you're interested) I thought, "Huh. he can't draw. Look, all the feet are too big."

What a silly arse I was.
