The George is where most of the drinking happens IIRC, so you're well-placed there, Paul.
Personally, I like having a walk home from the pub, it helps me sober up a bit and restore balance to the Booze-Force.
I think Fawlty Towers (or the Woodlea Hotel, to give it its trading name) must have gone under, when I tried to ring them the number came up as vacant. Can't say I'm terribly surprised.

I'm staying here, I think it should be within staggering distance after the pub, it's only a couple of miles from the vollage. Of course, if you have the Troutmobile and a designated driver, you've got more options to play with ;) Try googling something like Hotels Thornhill.

Well, I've got over my teary fit at not being able to make Dreddcon, and found a B&B less than 10 miles away from the lovely village of Moniaive. So who else is gonna be there?

"If you don't get on that plane, you're gonna regret it. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow, but soon, and for the rest of your life."

"You played it for her, didn't you? If she can stand it, so can I! Play it!"

"Round up the usual suspects!"

...guess what I got for my birthday?

Amen, brother.

"why does showing your pants above your trousers seem to be a valid thing to do ? "

Dear god in heaven, who thought that was a good look?

I'm not a prude either, and I don't get Bo Selecta either.

"and i don't get how people can drink so much coke."
Because it's got loads of caffeine in it.

I don't get how anyone can sit through the turgid proto-nazi works of Wagner.

Have to say I agree with Terry Gilliam on this, it shouldn't be filmed, and if it is it should be done as a twelve part TV series. A 2-3 hour film would have to lose too much of the sub-plots which are what makes it such a satisfying read (and re-read). But anyway, if it were, Dr Manhatten should be CGI voiced by the bloke who did HAL in 2001, Nite Owl should be Alfred Molina, and Rorschach?

Lee Evans. Seriously. Think about it.

Have to disagree there. Frazer's great, and I know he was first choice for Cabs, but Dom's made the show completely his own.
