"Won't be the same without Peter Jones..."

Well, of course not, although from listening to the preview, I'd say William Franklyn sounds about as good as a replacement as you could hope for, ditto with Richard Griffiths as Slartibartfast.
I also note that Wowbagger the Infinitely Prolonged is played by Judge Dredd himself, Toby Longworth.

IIRC, strangely, when the original series was cast, Peter Jones wasn't first choice for the Book, despite the script describing the Book as having a "Peter Jones type voice".

Forget all this film malarkey. The only version of the Hitch Hiker's Guide that really matters is coming back for a tertiary phase this autumn. And DNA himself is in it!

My dad was born in the USA to half Irish parents, my mum's family is French in origin, but she was born in Pakistan. So what the hell does that make me?

Personally I think of myself as Brummie before English/Irish/French/American/Pakistani/whatever.

I do have that brown/ginger hair thing though, so I guess I coiunt as celtic for the purposes of this thread. But to be honest, does it really matter?

I might well get this, I have fond memories of it.
I'd love to see the Who strips MacMahon did reprinted, too. Junkyard Demon was my first exposure to his god-like genius :)
