A couple I like to use now & then:

Maths was never my thirte.

"What's the film about?"
"It's about 2 hours."

Wish I had the time, too many other forums on the go.
I do write stuff from time to time on the Andy Diggle one. It's not like I have some burning desire for info or a vast wealth of knowledge to share or anything, so nobody's missing much by my not posting.

I've submitted art, was really interested & keen, have prepped a couple of scripts that I tweak & prod at now & then; all that'll probably come to nothing, if I'm realistic about it.
Having read the brilliant essay "Getting Off The Merry-Go-Round Before You Puke" the whole idea seems to be best kept as an ambition or something to dabble at. If I had to produce art to deadline, it'd compromise the quality and turn something I enjoyed into a job I had to do.

So part of me'd love the chance to say I work or have worked there, the rest thinks it'd be like pimping myself or crapping on a dream.
It's a business, after all; and businesses are set up to make money, and that's all. However noble their spiel might sound.

Bisley, without doubt. He showed Hammerstein without his armour, and made Blackblood look cool (I didn't rate him before, but the peg-leg was a brilliant touch).
And his Joe Pineapples was unsurpassed. No-one else can draw Joe like that, though they try.

I awoke to The Animatrix DVD (very good it is, too), a work of abstract art by my sprogette, and a t-shirt -again, adorned by artwork from her fair hand.
Great stuff, especially as nothing at all would've been fine by me.

Digressing EVEN further...
What happened to a film in pre-production called Mirrorman? O'Neill was apparently involved in some way, but that was years ago.

Back on track, I've got at least one of the two Alan Moore books, and remember being well pleased at the time. I think some of the best Future Shocks would fare pretty well if collected.

Actually, he will, but...

Ah, you nearly got me there.
Damn, that was close. Looks like I need an Anoraks Anonymous refresher meeting.

Looks spookily like one of the Captain Scarlet finishing title backgrounds to me.
