I loved the original. Played it on a PS2 only game I have every played to the last level. Well looking forward to the new one. And my kid just got a switch so looking forward to it on that. Great news.

Hello 2000adWebDroid.
I have been using the form from the contact link at the bottom of the shop page.
I get a response from there very promptly. The only issue is when I then reply to that mail I don't get a response.

So no worries I just keep going back to the form and creating a new message, which gets responded to well.

Thanks for the note Cosh. I have been resisting the urge to even flick through them :-) though it would be nice to finish the other stories (I bought a  load of back issues running up to 2000 also)

General / subscription issues

I just recently re-subscribed after a 5 year or so absence.
Seems the subs department has changed a bit.

No longer Denise which seems to be the problem.
At the moment I feel they are having a laugh, I don't know.

My sub starts from 1999 I did not receive 1999 or 2000 now I have received 2000 twice but still no 1999. After 5 or so messages to the subs department.
The only way to get a response is through the online form, direct response to emails don't get replied to.
All the other progs, 2001 - 2004 no worries but they are all stacking up waiting for 1999 :-(

I am in Belgium not that this should make any difference we have not yet Brexited. :-)

Sorry for the moan, just getting a bit frustrated, never had these problems previously.
Anyone else got sub issues?

I have to agree I think it was more of it's time, but you never know I always enjoyed it's diversity.
Here some images of my small collection bought at the time from Smiths.

I don't think you are being out of order or over protective. He is 9, still a kid really.  The fact that you are assessing these things and making judgments and not just ignoring things, in my eyes, makes you a great parent as you are involved in your kids.

Whatever decision you make it is not final in this kind of instance so if you are worried about it I would say no access to start with if he does become an outsider then you can deal with that then. But it is part of growing up and finding your place in/out of society all part of the game/journey if he has restrictions that his peers don't.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Books & Comics / Re: Brian Wood - Rebels / Starve

yeah I am also a big fan. Currently on Rebels and Starve.  DMZ was one of my favorites I love the little extras like Club night flyers and the such, the graphic design skills that are incorporated to the whole feel of the stories.
Northlanders was very entertaining, never knew about Paris.

The Massive did not float my boat as much as DMZ but was enjoyable none the less. For the eco warrior in a post disaster environment I preferred the ghosts of central park in DMZ, nice ideas.

For me it is the mix and depiction of characters combined with stories with a slant that I like about his writing.

I love Gilgun in This Is England - a really charismatic actor. He should be great, just hope he nails the accent.

Yeah he was good in that and in Misfits. Also saw him in a Sci Fi film Lockout where he played a crazed inmate very well.  Like his stuff think he would be great as Cassidy who was originially Irish or English was he not? Agree with Cosh that the accent would surely be an amalgamation of many though.

I was waiting for someone to say Gutsville.  The reboot/re-write of Unknown Soldier on Vertigo was one that saddened me cancelled just when it was getting really meaty. Loved the art and writing on that one.
