Bec&Kawl in a Day Of The Tentacle style point and click adventure. Simpin' Detective would work well in that format too actually. A third person Sinister Dexter shooter would be grand though. However with previous AD games having "relatively limited success" maybe there simply won't be any more.

I read "The Culled" which I loved, "Death Hulk" which I heartily enjoyed and "Spear Of Destiny" which I found to be a struggle and wouldn't recommend. 2 out of 3 ain't bad though, so wil be picking up the "Dreams Of Inan" stuff sometime soon.

"Tharg even edited out the stupid mistake I made in my letter"

He once changed my use of "black&white" to "greyscale" thus making me look less ignorant than I am, and showing he really does care about us.

The truth is worth a dozen graphic novels. Although this graphic novel was Savage, which made my day so is worth about one and a half truths. Booze fest ahoy.

I agree entirely with your review of my letter, on reading it in print myself I felt I had fallen short of my goal. Sounded like more of a whingefest than intended and the compliments on the art I liked was included mainly to emphasize my dislike of Satanus. However the result was a letter uneven in tone and lacking in all departments. The graphic novel was nice, but pales in comparison to being a part of the latest Letters Us Entertain You installment. My bosom is swollen with pride.

I've also benefited from Tharg's benevolence. Got ABC Warriors and Robo Hunter simply for writing in. The man truly is a green god.

The Origins disappointment was a big one, but Rufus art was great so that softened the blow. Stickleback and Kingdom are developing very well, intrigued to find out where Kingdom is going in particular. Was a good old school Dante which did raise a smile, but ABC Warriors was the best thing this week I felt, constantly gobsmacked by the art.

My first one fell to bits when I was a kid, then I found one in a junk shop about a year ago and within a week or so it had come off my jacket and been lost forever. I would grieve for your badge but I feel embittered that mine was snuffed out so young.

Books & Comics / Dan Abnett Torchwood book
07 January, 2007, 05:33:29 PM
Just got a couple of Torchwood books for my birthday and noticed one of them was by Dan Abnett which was a pleasant surprise. Not actually into Torchwood but look forward to reading that now and thought you guys would want to know it's out there(if you don't already).

Weird, they sent someone to pick mine up the next morning, but I've heard of them dealing with it a few different ways and that's just in the UK. Just finished the campaign on FEAR and thought it was great, built to a really nice climax and the slo-mo gunfights were excellent. Now I'm gonna take it online and get annihilated if my previous live experiences are anything to go by...
