Didn't realise Reznor had stopped playing it for a while, after hearing the Cash version everywhere(which I love) hearing NIN play it live felt incredible, like he was reclaiming it. Also the way they play it now is awesome, they hold off the drums for a bit longer so when it happens it's beautiful... both versions are equally incredible though. I was probably just as moved by "I Hung My Head" as well though, it's got this incredible mournful quality.

The song on "Dawn Of The Dead" is awesome, prompted me to buy my brother that Cash album for xmas and it's excellent.

Been scouring youtube now, Dino Riders was disappointing, Denver The Last Dinosaur was way more banging than I remember it, and this was awesome mainly because the singer approaches it with such conviction, it's pretty moving...

We were talking about Silverhawks in the pub today but couldn't remember the name of it, then opened this thread and it was mentioned almost immediately thus clearing up any confusion, spooky.

On the subject of theme tunes, does anyone know the lyrics to the Hero Turtles theme? When I hear it I still hear the line "These turtle farts don't cut 'em no slack" and no-one has been able to suggest a satisfactory alternative.

For my money, this deserves to be pumped up loud and danced to maniacally, for the immense Kenny Loggins style get up and go factor.

I always love pointing out the one in Evil Dead 2, because no-one ever seems to mention it and I seem really smart and amazingly cool for commenting(the part where he's in the basement and picks up the pages with the hand he just 'sawed off).

General / T-Shirt sizes?
21 October, 2006, 01:22:48 PM
Wanting to get some of the t-shirts from the web site but     I always have trouble getting the fit I like. Anyone know how I can find out the chest and length measurements of the medium and large ones? Any help hugely appreciated.

That might be it then, it was roughly November they were talking about. I'd got quite excited about that.

Was doing the Barfly in Glasgow the other night and noticed they've apparently got Pop Will Eat Itself playing soon, although they didn't seem to have a date yet. I know there's a few fans on here, anyone know if this is a full tour and when it's happening etc?

Laughed out loud a few times, having missed 99% of Darkplace when it was on I'm now going to have to buy that I suppose.

If they kept it to one season it could have been a genuine classic, as is they're just kicking the arse right out of it. The bastards.

Still, a BAFTA nomination is nothing to scoff at, congratulations Mr Rennie.

It's good they're doing it, it's about time gaming got that sort of recognition, hopefully next year they'll get it right. It's always a bit of a cringe watching a wacky host falling completely flat like that, best part of the show was the brief history I thought as I'd never actually seen the legend that is the ET game.

Yeah, it all seemed pretty dry and boring. That female presenter was approaching Sarpong levels of irritation as well. Never saw Rogue mentioned, did it win something? Should have, was a great game.

"where the hell do the dimension travelling Weevils get their leather jackets from? Does the rift pass through River Island on the way to Cardiff?"

Yeah, for creatures that dwell in the sewer they were looking quite dapper.

I kind of agree, in that it was really dumb and not in any way a good representation of the genre, but thanks to Dr Who/Torchwood my previously uninterested in sci fi mum is now seeking out more of the stuff and has pinched all my Battlestar dvds, which she's loving. So hopefully by bringing new people to sci fi it's doing at least one good thing.
