Not worth it's own thread but I saw Deja-Vu today and it was quite enjoyable.

Spoilers>>>>>>>>>>>>>

For a while I thought they were going the Alpha route of 'time claimimg his own' with lots of avaoided events becoming true through different means.

But then...

BIGGEST SPOILER>>>>>

Denzel saved the day and everyone's lives. Except his own. Except 'future' Denzil showed up as present Denzil and all was well. Entertaining but the folding space and seeing 4 days and six hours in the future once only and you can't record it McGuffin took some swallowing.

I think it was proven that he didn't get the most votes the second time. So well done George for having Jeb in position together with your pals in the supreme court.

I hate the arrogant supposition that we are smarter than the Americans. They gave us Seinfeld, Larry Sanders and Curb Your Enthusiasm. We have produced 'My Hero' with James Dreyfuss. Who's the spanners?

What's happened to Jim? At least two attempts at fight picking have been met with polite measured responses.

Odds

Evs - Pished
3/1 - Stoned
10/1 - Got Laid
33/1 - Early Christmas gift of 'little book of calm'
100/1 - Found God

'Read the novel.'

According to the IMDb the director didn't

"Director Paul Verhoeven admits to never finishing the novel, claiming he read through the first few chapters and becoming both bored and depressed."

Splutter!

Generally regarded as one of the best sci-fi films ever, along with your other favourite Aliens.

What your questions appear to overlook is that the film is a propaganda piece supposedly issued by a fascist Earth as justification for it's war mongering ambitions.

And it's got a shower scene.

I saw Crank! It was number 79 of the 100 I have seen at the cinema this year and I rated it 'Not too bad'. It's like the Transporter films except...no it was exactly like the Transporter films.

"You scored 23 out of a possible 30
Good work! Highly impressive performance. Just a few more hours spent in a darkened room could have secured you the top marks. "

Only seen 97 at the cinema this year too! Good quiz but a few too many obscure ones.

For more of a challenge try the BBC 52 question end of year quiz - first 12 are up - I got a pisspoor 7/12.

It's what Devlin Waugh carries in his dressing gown pocket that worries me.

Bryce Curdy. There I said it.

The papers have said the first suspect is a comics weirdo due to his myspace name being 'The Bishop'. Maybe it's not a comics influence but this guy.

Might also provide a 'voices from God' motivation for the crimes.
