Well if Dr X is out I'm in! Say when and where Tom! My dicky ticker means I may not get as drunk as usual but fear not, my cache of 15-1 tales will fill the void!

It says 'sausages' up there - where me other bloody sausage then?

This is the Bank House in King's Lynn where you get exactly what you ask for! Nice meaty sausage with that herby taste.

The small breakfast meant that our traditional trip to McDonalds was inevitable. My Big Mac was OK but poorly constructed.

Indian time now with a visit to The Indian Gate which garnered the greatest Tripadvisor kicking of the trip. The food was fine but the service as slow as an ice age.

Here I am having the lamb tikka starter having filled up on popadoms - rookie mistake!

My chicken Biryani was very nice although the delay meant a few beers had left me slightly worse for wear.

Quite fancy Everest, not least due to a load of Facebook postings of photos of the dead bodies left up there. Gruesomely fascinating.

I agree Battle Royale fell apart at the end - decent idea but didn't hold onto it and a feeble outcome was the result.

Saw the remake/reboot Vacation and although it was shite I stayed to the end. I nearly shut it off as I thought the wife would be hating it but she was chortling away. Darryl out of 'The Walking Dead' should hang his head in shame though!

All beasts were kept beyond pecker length so my prime ministerial credentials remain unblemished. Apart from this fella, but we're family.

A nice three course trio at The Rathskeller in King's Lynn. This was the £17.95 set menu which had plenty of choice and good quality ingredients.

First up, in another Joe Browns number, our hero enjoys some mint risotto with pork belly and chorizo. Second pork belly of the day but very nice it was too.

I then had the chicken which came with bacon and some blue cheese sauce. Lovely stuff.

For pud I had the lemon posset which came in a tea cup for some reason, but was tasty nonetheless - like lemon curd. I am seen scoffing a poppyseed Tuille biscuit (obviously).

Straight from my mum's wardrobe in the 70s, more like.

Yeah she said I could take it once I'd finished wiping my d*ck on the curtains!

Actually I got it at Joe Browns. In the sale!

Healthy breakfast now at the White horse with some granola, natural yogurt and some raisins.

Followed by some Weetabix and dried fruit.

After a quick stop at a farm to pick out tonight's dinner...

We lunched at the 2015 Pub of the Year, The Rose and Crown where I had the pork belly with a coriander mash. This was possibly the best meal of the holiday - follow the link for the full blow by blow!

When Calls the Heart - Hallmark TV movie starring the daughter off 'Taken' - scraping the barrel? Oh yes!

Also saw 50/50 which I enjoyed - wee tear in the eye at the end. Wife's not mine, of course.

Moving along the coats now to Brancaster Staithe where you'll find the lovely White Horse. The bespoke cooked breakfast was lovely but special mention has to go to the mini jars of Nutella - none of your trays here! The fry was very nice and the sausage worthy of special mention as it were very nice.

For lunch we headed up the coast to the strangely named town Wells Next the Sea. This was a nice pub lunch and I can be seen lifting a plate containing a cheese and ham toastie. Very nice it were too with a tangy sharp cheese ofset with the ham which was a crisp Parma type variety.

For our evening repast we walked down the rod from our hotel to a place called The Jolly Sailors - I didn't see any sailors, jolly or otherwise, but the beef taco pizza was most tasty. I know Tom will suggest someone has done something over my pizza but it simply wasn't the case (as far as I know).

Apparently it reads your emails, deletes your porn and shuts down your illegal downloads. It's the end of the internet.

I'll just close out this fine day and shirt. Shockingly I forgot my camera so the wife had to take the following snaps on her mobile. She sent them on to me by WhatsApp and I have no idea why one appears all squahed - maybe it lost the will to live!

Anyway this is the evening meal at our hotel The White Horse in Branchester

I had the steak which was very nice - 'medium with no blood' which was well executed as the brown fluid will attest. Nice cut of meat with not a hint of gristle. Nice veg and Jenga chips.

The wife was torn over the pudding options so chose to have them all. These were all very pleasant, at least that's what she told me...

Alas my trip to Norfolk is more related to the 'Wot I ate in hospital' thread than anything else!

I can also confirm that the lucky winner of 15-1, whomever that may be, doesn't see the cash until the show is transmitted. Probably in case they accidentally wipe the tapes or Sandi gets done or shoplifting or something.

Our last morning at the Andover house saw me going light with some massive white bread toast and a pain o chocolate. I prefer these warm (like everyone else) but cold pastry with a block of chocolate inside is nice too. Bread was good but if I knew I was going to be soaked £3.75 for it I would have added a pound of bacon to take away!

The short hop to Cromer saw us lunching at a nice pub overlooking the sea and pier. Better still was the dead end outside the window which due to inadequate signage saw a lot of cars come barreling in before sheepishly backing out. Great entertainment. I am having a nice pint of real ale and a fish finger sandwich. In reality it was more of a fish goujon sandwich but you can't fault them for going for the populist vote.

Those of you living in a cave may not yet of heard that I am due to appear on Channel 4's premier quiz show 15-1 within the next month.

Followers of my quiz show career will remember my appearance on Weakest Link in which I emerged
triumphant
. Recent heart issues were no obstacle to a new attempt for glory and the tasty £40k prize.

I am embargoed from giving you the result but it was exciting stuff and I am in at least one memorable episode (you only get one show if you make the 3 person final and get up to 3 attempts).

Dog Deever of this parish deserves the credit (blame) as he gave me the flyer shown below at Glasgow Comic Con.

I chose to break out my lucky plum jumper for the occasion and wardrobe issues again formed the basis of many of my anecdotes.

Anyway the new series starts tomorrow and I'm on Show 19 and possibly others. Set your series link now as it's  on at 3pm in the afternoon so unless you are a comic writer or glue sniffer you are unlikely to catch it at random.

The date I have been given for my first appearance is Wednesday 14th October at 3pm. but it does sometimes get bumped for the racing.

I you have any questions about Sandi Toksvig, meeting Jeremy Vine and 3 Eggheads or the standard of the green room hospitality please list them below. Orderly queue now!

Thank you for your wry commentary on my wry commentary!

The bastards at Tripadvisor deleted my Mr Data photo which makes my comment seem a bit random. Here it is below. Do the assembled sci-fi masses think this is a coincidence or was it made to celebrate that episode where they were all in an Olde time ship on the Holo-Deck?
