Help! / Re: Help me, Oh Mighty Hive!

Check to make sure your camcorder doesn't have a USB port as well as a Firewire port. I've got one with both but the camera only came with a firewire cable, I happened to have a USB cable that fitted and works well. They may well be in different places on the camera. Would probably be cheaper and better to get a USB lead rather than an adaptor if applicable of course.

Quote from: "the_legendary_shark"Some people I'd like the Doctor to meet...

Adam and Eve and Charles Darwin trapped inside an antediluvian Mosque, just to see how the writers would resolve the situation.

Judge Dredd - "Illegal entry into the City, illegal use of a time machine, possession of offensive shoes, persecution of an endangered species - to whit, one Dalek, inconsiderate parking and use of a sonic device in a prohibited area. I make that twenty years and I'm impounding your ship. Welcome to Mega City One, creep!"

Nicolai Dante - "Now, where's Rose disappeared to?" (SFX (OFF): SQUELCH SQUELCH)

Johnny Alpha - "Time bomb!" "Time bomb? Oh, that's brilliant! How does it... eep!"

Lobster Random - "Where did you hide Gallifrey?" snip-snip "Where is it?" snip-snip "I can keep this up all day, arsegyke" snip-snip  regenerate snip-snip regenerate snip-snip...

Cliff Richard - "Oh, sorry. We were looking for Elvis..."

Archduke Ferdinand - "Vot are you meanink, do not duck?"

Halo Jones - "Now, where's Captain Jack disappeared to?" (SFX (OFF): SQUELCH SQUELCH)

Me, 23 years ago - "No, really, don't marry that woman..."

etc, etc.

Hee hee! Fantastic.

Well, I've watched it again and I've got to say, completely changed my mind. I think last night I was just so disapointed after a week long build up, with the whole regeneration thing. Today, I've gotten over that and enjoyed the whole episode. Yes, there are plot holes, yes, some of the science is a bit silly but who GAF! You could pretty must say that about any si-fi series and probably haver over the years. I've watched it, twice, enjoyed it, the second time, now I'll get on with my life and forget about it until the Cybermen come back at Christmas. I'm already looking forward to it, even though I don't particularly like the new Cybermen, but it's Dr Who, and I love Dr Who, faults and all.

Quote from: "Bad Andy"I'm sure it 'll all feel better in the morning.
Well, it's the morning and I'm still hopeful!

Although I didn't particularly want to see David Tennant go as the doctor, I felt really cheated by the way the whole regeneration thing was done, last week's was a fantastic cliffhanger, and had me chomping at the bit for last nights episode, but last night was a seriously WTF moment! If it hadn't have been for that I think I probably would have enjoyed the whole episode a lot more. I love Dr Who with all it's silliness, I can watch old episodes now, ones that scared the bejesus out of me when I was a kid, and I've got to laugh at all the silly costumes the flaky special effects and props, but it was good fun, that's what it should be now. Maybe I just need my innocence of youth back so I can watch it without reading too much into it, take it for what it is, some entertaing nonsense.

All that said, I'm going to watch it again today in the hope I like it a little more.

I thought Davros was brilliant when the Daleks where being destroyed and Bernard Cribbens was fantastic as the nutty old bloke with the telescope.

Quote from: "Proudhuff"Why does it say its a Test on the cover? ;p
I'm a bit late to this thread as I've only just received my copy. I missed a years worth of progs and when I ordered all the back issues earlier this year this prog was out of print, it's just been reprinted and I wondered if Test was a mistake on the reprint, apparently not.

The prog looks fantastic and I've got to admit I did a little dance of excitement when I realised what it was!! Can't wait to read it!

I've been told this morning that apparently Katherine Tate let slip in an interview ages ago, that it was Tennants last series, but it was very quickly debunked and withdrawn by the BBC! However I've not had a chance to try find out any more. Perhaps someone else can find out more on this interview.

I enjoyed that episode so much I actually watched it again yesterday and may even watch it a third time before next Saturdays episode!!

I'm with you on that one Logan. I liked having the posts mailed to me rather than having to go onto the board all the time, I want that function back. Anyone else?
