17" - 1024 x 768

My wife's the same Bou, she can't stand anything above 600x800 as she says she can't read it, that's why I have to have my own PC and she's got hers.

I had the same thing last year with Wrigley's X-cite, I'd sort of adopted them as my fag substitute and was having difficulty locating them in shops only to discover they had been withdrawn from the UK. I bought out all the shops in the town but am now down to my last few packs, might have to start smoking again!!!!

I agree, this thread is getting a bit tedious now!!

I have it on good authority that Demonizer is NOT RC, so I apologise for my previous post. That's not to say there aren't similarities. Anyway, why can't we all just get on?

Umpty

The name doesn't ring any bells, who'd he hang around with? How old's your sister, what's her name?

It's a bloody small world! Our house backed onto the Greystone football fields behind Greystone Primary. I used to always buy my progs on a Friday afternoon from the Greystone Shops, Devlin's was it? The rest of my family still live in or around Antrim.

We've been quite fortunate in that our daughter has been going to a special nursery school for the past couple of years, after a couple of weeks we saw a vast difference in her, her teacher was an absolute marvel. She's now moved to an integrated nursery as they think it would be better for her, the same provisions, only mixed with "normal" kids, she hasn't really had time to settle in there though as she's been ill quite a lot this year. I know what you mean though, you've gotta keep at them, I've got to admit though if it wasn't for my wife's determination she probably wouldn't have gotten half the things she has.

As for a diagnosis though, who knows, she's had every test they can give her up to now (apparantly), they will do more when she's a bit older (she's 4 1/2 now), but for the moment we've just got to wait.

What part of NI you from Umpty? I'm originally from Enniskillen then Antrim.

Bou, what can I say, bloody hell!! My oldest are 20, almost 21, twin boys, we've had a bit of a rough time with them over the years, but nothing like that. Kids eh! who'd have em!!

Cheers Umpty, how old's your son? Don't know what Aspergers is Rac but it's good that he's getting treatment. Unfortunately they can't tell us what is wrong with my Daughter, apart from the fact that she's deaf and has "problems", she's registered disabled but hasn't been diagnosed with anything, which is extremely frustrating and depressing!

Definition from a computer related site:

Geek:
The sort of person who would get really excited at the prospect of using a text editor on a 300 megahertz workstation to write out the definitions of technical terms.

Nerd:
A nerd is very similar to a geek, but with more RAM and a faster modem. Nerds often find geeks dull because geeks don't spend enough time talking about computers.
