Nice one Pete. Just got Prog 1700...that covers ace, isn't it? You must be well chuffed. JDHs internal art is fantastic, too. Must be a great feeling to put all the Stalag haters (myself included... :-[) in their place! :D

So, got my Manga Studio debut through yesterday. I'm a little cionfused by its lack of a 'multiply' layer option. I understand the package is aimed more at b+w artwork and comic creation in general. I suppose I'll stick with painter / traditional for colouring purposes. Still looks like it'll be a handy bit of software, though. ;)

One of the odd things about Manga Studio is that, if you scan pure b&w art (or import it) it'll actually import as black lines and the white will become transparent, which is what most people really want when they use MULTIPLY with line art layers.

I've never missed it.

Thats interesting, Paul. I'll have to look into that tonight. ;)

That said however... when the 'Planet Of The Apes' twist was revealed, it came as a huge disappointment to me, & lacking in imagination on the writer's part.

Ummm, I have yet to read Meltdown Man. I hope thats not a thrill sapping spoiler there, Mr Johnson!  :P

Having never read Meltdown man, I'm looking forward to that one. Is it exclusively Massimo artwise?

Yeh, Doc, that is a shame. I have a friend who, I suspected, was an alcoholic for years. He recently admitted to me that he was. As Noisybast says, not a lot you can do to help them if they wont help themselves. :(

Haha, that might work. Or...I can only speak for myself, a quick PM of enquiry is all thats required, I would have thought. I dont consider that 'bombarding', lol. After all, they can only say no. ;) (the last project I did, I saught a writer in this way. He didn't seem to mind!)

Megazine / Re: MEG 301 : CUTTING CLASS
25 August, 2010, 06:15:44 PM
Just got this issue today. The bagged MM collection was the sole reason for me starting to buy the Megazine again last month. ( I knew this collection was coming soon, but also wanted to know what was going on in the other stories in the actual meg..) Mike Mcmahon was and still is a genius. How anyone can call his work "shit" is beyond me. Totally ridiculous. On another note, the Dredd story this month is great and, art wise, almost as far removed from Mcmahon as its possible to be. Arsom, indeed.
