Blimey Jon, incredible. I saw your 3D mock-up of this on Facebook. What program did you use for that? (the 3D bit....!) ;)

Difficult to see how any film set in a desert environment during daylight hours isn't going to have a predominantly orange and blue palette. By that token, The Searchers is an orange and teal movie.

Ha, I see our point, but this is overkill. Even in the desert, other colours do exist....

I like it but it's all looking horrendously orange and teal to me. I can't help noticing it! :(

Prog / Prog 1892 : BLOCK PARTY!
26 July, 2014, 01:53:21 PM
Cover : Nice, simple Dredd cover from Colin Mcneil, featuring the return of two of my fave supporting characters......tewwific!

Dredd: Top opening episode, featuring the return of the two characters from the cover.....plussssss one other! I'll say no more....

Sin/Dex : I've enjoyed this outing for the famous gunslingers. Certainly more than some of you other folks, by the sound of it. Jake Lynch has really impressed for the duration of the story. Love to see more from him. Perhaps a Dredd? He draws a cracking Dredd!

Aquila: Love this. Both story and art are outstanding and, 'd say one of the best strips of recent years.

Brass Sun: Story wise, my least favourite of the week. The art has improved since last week, but I am really struggling to care about the characters. Not bad. But not fantastic, either.

Black Shuck: Love a bit of sword and sorcery. After last weeks cracking opening episode, things don't slow down this week, either. Yoewell and Blyth make a great team on art, while Moore and Reppion provide an intriguing script.

A nicely rounded prog, this week. Something for everyone!

Yes Keef, it has a very Mass Effect and Borderlands flavour. I also love the MMO lite elements. My friend and I were on the second mission, and could see another player across the map carrying out his quest, too. Other players can also join in your game, if they happen to be passing. Hope you enjoy it as much as I have so far. :D

I think I must have exhausted the beta missions. I appear to be capped at level 8 on warlock class, and the moon missions aren't unlocking.

Yeh, there's a level cap for the beta. Kinda glad of it, although getting al those weapons and equipment that I can't yet use is frustrating. Roll on Sept 9th!

I'm enjoying this a lot, as I did the Alpha, a few weeks back. Great stuff. ;)

Cover : Amazing Chris Weston Dredd cover this week. Cover of the year by a country mile.

Dredd: The tale of sensitive Klegg comes to satisfying end. Beautifully drawn by Weston, lovingly coloured by Michael Dowling, this heartfelt, funny story ends in the best way possible. That is, leaving it open for more in the  (hopefully near) future!

Brass Sun : Not my favourite thrill, but I have warmed to it over time. The art, while lovely, is a little too sparse for my taste. An interesting strip, though.

3Riller : Like this a lot, but not sure where it's going. Top artage from the Holden and Denton droids.

Future Shock : A 3riller and a F.S in the same issue.....An OK, but slightly obvious tale. Nice art from Nick Dyer.

Sin/Dex : Part one of a new Sin/Dex tale and we now have new(ish) droid Jake Lynch on art, giving it a fresh feel. Very nice indeed.
