Damn. Just picked up the 'Avengers : Prime' book, only to find I already have the strips reprinted in 'Heroic Age' book. Damn my not looking into things/ Blinded by the name Alan Davis on the cover eyes!

The Clown and Wireheads got the US reprint treatment too, according to David McDonald's excellent Beyond 2000ad

* I'm not sure how much input Mary had

Ugh, Junker was bad, but I quite liked Dry Run. The Clown, though, was BLOODY AWFUL. Some very nice art, but the script, what there was of it, was just so bad. My god. How the hell it was ever accepted, I have no idea. The number one worst story in 2000ADs history, in my honest view.  :(

Some cracking art this week. The Weston and Dowling droids have surpassed themselves with Dredds visuals. Plus, of course, Mr Dentons rather tasty colourings. :D

Not normally one for picking up monthly books, preferring the trades, and I've also never pre-ordered from my local comic shop. Picked up the first issue of this after seeing some gorgeous previews of the art elsewhere online. It's an absolutely beautiful comic. The story is set up quite nicely in this first issue, too.  I won't spoil it for those waiting to get it, but it involves reincarnating Gods, pop stars and Scanners style exploding heads....so lots to like! Very much looking forward to issue 2.  ;)

Got mine today. Darren Douglas' artwork on Rogue is the star of the show, for me. Oh, and Fay Dalton, obviously. Absolutely brilliant. ;) Mind you, the Missus read this in the bath before I had a chance to get hold of it. Thought the smudges on the cover were her doing, ha.....

Toughie, but I'm going with.....

1: SKD Awesome drawing, as ever.

2: Stephen Eyre. Nice work and very topical!

3: Bhuna. Could be straight from the prog.

H.Ms Allistermac and Ant O'Donnell  Both gorgeously drawn. Top skills, sirs, top skills.

Can someone steer me to the rules for the art comp, what can we use in terms of materials etc? Z

As far as I'm aware you can use anything, materials wise, as long as it's created specifically for the art comp. And follows the brief, of course!  :D

Prog / Re: Prog 1882 - Chop Chop!

Strong prog this week, with only one strip not really interesting me. I agree, Slaine is fantastic. The cover is superb! Dredd was very good, but not as hard hitting as I imagined it would be. Still top stuff, though. As Jimbo said, It's got me liking John Mcreas art which I've never been too bothered about previously, so that's a big plus, too. Though yes, Hershey looks demonic in that last panel! Indigo Prime is awesome, all around. ;) Not read Outlier. It hasn't gripped me unfortunately, so I'll save it for a re-read later.
