Very jell Shaolin - haven't seen them since '08 at Twickenham stadium where (for some convoluted reason) I got free tickets :O

That was my last Maiden gig too.

Similar reasons? Or did you not enjoy it as much?

It was my least enjoyable Maiden gig due to poor seats but that's not why I haven't seen them since. Just haven't got round to it. I'd have loved to have gone to the O2 show but having gone to a couple of expensive gigs not that long before it wasn't really possible.
I have seen them a few times over the years. Not sure which was my favourite but Donington '88 was awesome and another fave was one of the Clive Burr charity gigs at Brixton.
Always entertaining and I hope to see them again sometime.

@ Albion - Now thats a page thats hot of the press! So, is that you then? A story behind that?

I'm the reek on the top right of the page.
Leigh had a charity raffle on his blog and the prize was to be drawn into a panel of Defoe. As well as sending the original page he also sent a signed copy of the Prog it was in. Top bloke as well as a great artist.  :D

So, how long until subscribers get their copies? The long wait begins.
Issue 2 will be my last subscription copy and I won't be continuing after that.

Dan Dare. That's a story that needs finishing.

On monday I'll get my first shipment of 2000AD progs since 1993. I'm very excited.

Ten years backlog of progs? Thrill-Power Overload!

I thnk you'll find that's twenty years. Major thrill starvation. Be mindful of such thrill-power Judge Brian.

The guy behind Anderson is the one to be scared of. He turns people into mutants!  ;)

Who is General Heathen that the protestors mention on their banner? Is he a Marvel or DC Character?  ;)

As well as Johnnystress' gun Cliff Robinson has just pointed out to me that the gun on the cover is based on the one he drew on my Minty commission that Commando Forces character is holding.  :)

Off Topic / Re: Glastonbury Festival 2013

Nice write up Crazyfoxmachine.

Of the stuff I recorded from the telly I was most impressed by Goat, Tame Impala and of course the Stones and Seasick Steve.

Glad you saw Otway, always hilarious. I've seen him a few times over the years.
As for Atilla, I don't mind him sometimes but as I nearly got into a fight because of him once I often have mixed feelings about him. Sometimes he's very good, sometimes he's an arse. He really does think he is more important than he actually is. He was organising some good gigs down here in his hometown of Southwick some years back but it all got a bit silly in the end. He also organised the worst beer festival I have ever been to, me and my mates actually left after an hour because it was so bad but we did, of course, just go to a pub instead!
